Quickest anyone ever got on your ignore list?!

Wow that was fast...

m21sniper; ignored. Even fastpat wasn't that fast...

red-beard 11-07-2006 03:36 PM

Fastpat was pretty fast. So was Cool_chick, but she was rehabilatated.

At least I know why she calls herself that, something you missed in vegas!

mikester 11-07-2006 03:37 PM

Hey, I'm just saying.

m21sniper 11-07-2006 03:43 PM

Though i know you can't read this,

LOL, if you are ignoring me for any of the things i said in my posts- which was calm, well thought out social and political commentary, i am actually quite glad that is the case, as it means i will not have to constantly listen to your leftist drivel in response to common sense observations of the real world that i will no doubt make in the future.

So in that vein, thank you. :)

PS: Sell your porsche, there are poor people in need, and you're just greedy. :D

PSS: I have 166 posts...is this considered a "Fast" ignore response?

Icemaster 11-07-2006 03:48 PM

Mul. The second time he showed up. Pretty much sealed it from the word go.

Jeff Higgins 11-07-2006 03:57 PM

Don't even have one. The asylum is not nearly as amusing without all the inmates.

Superman 11-07-2006 04:27 PM

This is Mul's THIRD appearance. Not his second. He's hoping to find the self-control and maturity to keep his remarks just barely tolerable enough to not get banned. Eventually he'll make it but even then, the next step would be to make remarks that are intelligent or insightful or helpful. Pipe dream.

I think Pat and Mul might find each other "hot." How can we get them acquainted?

+1

Just because I don't agree with someone is no reason to squelch them.

Someone would have to REALLY get under my skin to earn that "privilege" and I can count the number of people that have ever been able to do that to me in my entire life on one hand.

LOL whatever!!!!!

OMG I totally forgot about that......

And I didn't change, you just figured out my mannerisms and realized in print, it isn't how it it "seems." Print communication can be easily misinterpreted.

You're a sick and twisted person Supe.

I like that about you.

Icemaster 11-07-2006 04:44 PM

An please tell me you're joking about Mul Pt 3....

Scooter 11-07-2006 04:57 PM

This person is on your Ignore List. To view this post click [here]

legion 11-07-2006 05:05 PM

I have zero on my ignore list...but one clothing maker and one cowboy lawyer have come close.

It's NOT mul.
I found him elsewhere.
Warthog.

Rodeo 11-07-2006 05:23 PM

I don't have one. I guess I can understand why people do it, but I find it kinda weird. Like a little kid sticking her fingers in her ears and singing out loud. La la la la la, I can't hear you :)

And guess what? You don't HAVE to read every post.

You have very strange dreams, ever "see a professional" about them?

It really isn't about agreeing or disagreeing it is the manner in which the data is presented.

Case in point; Socialism is not evil. Now I'm not a socialist but I believe there are more than a few of our allies that are and I don't believe they are evil. This sort of extremist philosophy is not one to be reasoned with. If someone cannot reasonably at least agree to disagree what is the point to listening to that person wail away about anything. It's like that guy on the corner with the megaphone preaching the end of the world.

Socialism, for example fascism and communism, is evil because it uses force to accomplish it's goals.

coloradoporsche 11-07-2006 05:46 PM

OK so for those of us too lazy to look it up....what happens when you put someone on your ignore list? All their posts are blank or something?

Seriously, I've heard about it a thousand times, but not sure what it does.

red-beard 11-07-2006 05:58 PM

Oh, something like this...

Ignore lists, with few exceptions, are for unmitigated whimps.

I think it was Techweenie who came up with the one close to valid reason to use the ignore function, but I can't remember what it was.

From time to time some one will be particularly long-winded or overly repetitive in a thread I'm trying to follow; this ,I think, is a valid reason to use the function. Tidies things up a bit.

MRM 11-07-2006 07:29 PM

It is perfectly valid to put someone on the ignore list because he keeps spelling "its" as "it's". While one may argue about whether socialism or facism are evil by definition (of course they are, but debate on the subject is healthy) abusing apostrophes in words only three letters long clearly is both evil by definition and is too hard on the eyes of a literate man to tolerate.

Hint, "it's" is a contraction (the reason for the apostrophe, get it?) So only use the apostrophe when you are using it's as short for "it is".

Not that anyone on this thread would abuse their native language that way.

cantdrv55 11-07-2006 08:53 PM

I can't stand that cantdrv55 guy.

911boost 11-07-2006 09:16 PM

That racist hate filled bastard Sports_Car didn't take long to get on my list. In 4 years that is the only person.

I can disagree with someone, but I still read what they have to say, who knows, maybe it is making me more well rounded.

I should add that I read what other members on the OT have to say, not all the damn cut and pastes. Sometimes they annoy me.

Plus, its pretty damn easy to ignore a thread.

I hate to break up your stupid little diatribe nit wit, but i've been running my own website with over 1600 members since 2002...you might want to check in to ask if i'm mul(if the 9 pix of me and my 928 i posted in the other thread are not enough, lolol).

www.a-10.org

You can also go here, a political message board of over 4500 registered users(and growing like wildfire) where i am one of the board co-founders:

www.worldaffairsboard.com

Or you can go to any of the 928 boards ive been posting on for oh, 3.5 years now.

Or you could simply continue to babble on like a moron.

Whatever suits you best. :)

cantdrv55 11-07-2006 09:38 PM

What's with the A-10? I used to work on those in South Korea when I was in the USAF. I haven't thought about them since 1986.

m21sniper 11-07-2006 09:48 PM

Hey bro, you should hop on over to my forum "Warthog Territories", we have hundreds of crewdogs, loadtoads, and hog drivers, past and present there.

http://forum.a-10.org/

Generally speaking, what's up with the A-10 is the A-10C/PE(Precision Engagement) program(Sniper XR targeting pods with full Paveway/JDAM capability), and the re-wing issues that are still bedeviling the fleet(there was a "Hog Up" program a few years back that addressed cracking issues at wing stations 9 and 11 IIRC, but it did not satisfactorilly address the issue). There's also a re-engine plan on the backburner, but it's currently unfunded.

Anyway, hope to see you stop in over at the forum!

But i guess some folks prefer the 'La la la la' approach better.

To the contrary, socialism is evil because it is FORCED wealth redistribution. It's also thievery, but that's another issue entirely. :)

But, if you become offended to the point of ignoring me because i attacked "communism light", well, then, i can hardly stop you. :)

Quote:

We used to be allied to the Soviet Union(during WWII for the history challenged among us).

Let me guess, they weren't evil either?

Quote:

This sort of extremist philosophy is not one to be reasoned with.
It is not extremist to hold a view that a certain socialist crybaby finds offensive.

Quote:

If someone cannot reasonably at least agree to disagree what is the point to listening to that person wail away about anything.
So if you said rapists were not evil and i insisted they were without 'agreeing to disagree', then that would make me an extremist too?

So in your world, people with firm convictions are extremists?

Well, that's intersting.

They're written words- which you have the option to simply not read.

I fail to see your rationale, but then, socialists and their apologists have always baffled me. :)
