Power Abhors a Vacume

Remember those words...

Today I was feeling gleefull that the Dems had won the House and sanguine about the Senate ..because they now have the responsibilty to govern, they can no longer sit back and take potshots at the leadership of America. So it is Welcome to the Jungle Nancy and welcome to the realities of Iraq.

The Dems now will have to get their hands in the *****. They will realize that they don't live in a perfect world and that to be a Major Power in the World requires that U do dirty deeds done dirt cheap. They will have to take their fair share of criticism when things don't go right, whcih they will soon find out in Iraq.

Now what scares me, is that the Dems continue on with their Amercia is the Problem ethic. That means that the Dems will hamstring the running of our military and out source our foreign policy in the name of International cooperation.

In that case America will abdicate its Major Power Status. Since power abhors a vacume, either another nation or group will pick up the reigns. However this will not be without contention in the world. Or some group will rise in the USA and take the power back from the Democrats in an extra legal fashion, if they prove to be unwilling to do what needs to be done..eg Get their hands dirty. These are very real worst case realities.

Now fortunately GW is gong to hold the reigns of Foreign Policy for 2 more years. In which I hope the Dems work in cooperation with the WH to achieve somekind of "tolerable" solution to the crisis in Iraq. A tolerable solution is one where Iraq doesn't blow up and suck all her neighbors into an inferno. Which would be a diaster for the world.

Leaving Iraq without achieving this goal really is not an option. It would be far better to be losing 100 men a month for decades in Iraq than the alternative...of having the world sink into a Depression which would life altering.for America, much as the Dinosauers no longer exist. As it stands Iraq might just blow up and suck the Region into the inferno even with our best effort.

As it stands now we can't go home, cause home doesn't exist anymore. The face of America was changed with 911. I just hope that the fall of the WTC didn't produce cracks in our system which will eventually cause our downfall. Of that I am not sure?

Iraq...blah, blah, blah.

The good thing about the Dems winning is now Nancy and Hillary will proceed to kick some ol' honky white male Republican ass. And that's all that matters in this changing world that's claimed by you to no longer be America.

Am at the point where I really feel that its time for a third party to form. The repubs are not what they were, and the dems are still wuss's. Neither are good for this country and its time for a change.

Complete term limits for everyone, get rid of anyone who has spent more than two terms in ANY office and lets clean up this mess. No more pork, and no bill has anything attached to it, period.

dd,

You are dreaming. Let them try to kick our honky ass. They cannot even work up a platform, much less get together and come after us. This is going to be fun, especially after they fall on their faces and Tabs told you so above...

I helped the flight attendents vacuum the plane out the other night. Its either that or wait another 20 minutes until they get done. We all get to the bar faster that way...

I have been making jokes about running for President, but everything I said about my 'campaign' is truly what I believe. A two party system is simply wrought with issues. I challenge anybody to give me a good reason why a 2 party system is better than a fully independent system, or a 3 party system, etc. Americans need to DEMAND independent leadership. It would give our leaders the freedom to follow their gut, and to do what is right.
