That's just politics. Rumsfeld was a dead man walking for at least 4 months now. But obviously he could not be removed right before the mid-term elections.

LOl, good luck with that:D

Wow. He's certainly being made the scapegoat, but it's still good for the U.S.A.

Now get rid of BushCorp, (the) Dick, CON-di and the rest and we'll be in business to fix all the screwups and get back to government with at least a few working brain cells. Probably not many, but at least a few is better than none at all.

Is that the brother of Bill? :D

I am very glad Dumbfeld finally saw the light (or was shone a 500 W halogen light in his face, probably).

Gates is just another Bush boi. No substantive change will be made in policy

If you refuse that, you're purely and obviously in denial. Get with the times, 'cause they are a changing...thank goodness!

Remember this post. Many of us cannot wait to see how the dems gut things and we know that the terrorists will now start working even harder against us.

Remember this post.... it will come back to haunt many of you.

Ha! He did it to himself. No one needs "luck."

Bush can't even except contrition properly. Listen to his press conference. He's full of excuses as to why the neocons got their asses whipped. Just say: "We lost!" and shut up.

You actually think he'll be impeached?

I wouldn't put it past some of the new (and old) blood that was elected into office yesterday. Actually, hopefully he won't be impeached. We've got larger problems than Bush.

If you mean Bush, yeah, his press conference is on now. He sounds (and looks) awful. It's understandable...

Flatbutt1 11-08-2006 09:29 AM

yes I guess its understandable but I cringe every time he opens his mouth

No, Nancy Pelosi becomes president. Hastert is gone...
When do the new posts take effect? Today, no - they take post in January.

If Bush and then Cheney resigned today it would be Hastert.

mikester 11-08-2006 09:51 AM

Rumsfeld has had a long political career but the bottom line is that if a leader can't garner and maintain the respect of his subbordinates then he should be removed and replaced with a leader who can.

Now, to be clear here I am not at all talking about being "liked" by anyone much less the people under you. I good leader doesn't have to be liked by anyone.

Yep. It's all over CNN and Fox.

Now the Bush Admin. begins its implosion.

If I were Bush, I'd resign now. With the House of Reps and Senate potentially going to the Dems, we're going to see in very short order how lousy a president Bush can be, since he is very unlikely to work with Pelosi et al.

Why would he work with Pelosi?

She stands for virtually everything he does not.

The president is certainly not going to resign.
