A pic to prove the Ferrari 599 story.

Took a few (bad) pics this morning before he left. Unfortunately still almost dark and rainy. Here is one to prove the claim. :D

Sweeeet. Nice colors.

Please note the geek wearing a Quicksilver sweatshirt and racing clogs under an umbrella. :D

Wayne,

Do you mean I should have posted the pics in the original thread instead of wasting band width on a new ?

OK, sorry - my bad.

I thought of it, but I was afraid those that had already read the initial thread may not open it again - and so missed out on the evidence.. ;)

Still don't believe you. That was photochopped.:D

Any moderator could simply combine the two threads.

It looks a lot like a 612 Scagelletti (sp?).
Troy

Still can't believe he bought that as his second car to leave at his vacation house in Spain. Dude must be living large!

livi 11-11-2006 07:11 AM

Busted!! But I think I did it rather well, with the dry parts under the car! :D

Yes, it does look a bit like the 612. But thatīs a four seater I think. This is strictly two seats. For you and the bombshell cruising the Riviera.

I feel no envy, no envy, no envy...

I would smoke that spaghetti tractor with my 3.2 like a breeze..

He has made a fortune on Russian oil stock.

Parking a car like that outside in the rain ought to be punishable by a swift kick to the nuts.

The wheels look satanic

Not that I would turn down the car if someone gave me the key or that is unattractive.

Am I the only one that sees a similarity in the shape to a Lexus SC?

It's the fact the car is a dark car in the rain. The vehicle is stunning.

Last time the local Ferrari group planned a drive - day before, bad weather forcast, five Ferrari's showed up, and drove for four hours together despite the grizzly weather. (Two 944's, and two BMW's also tagged along :))

*it seemed like the right thing to do at the time*

and why wouldn't it be ?

livi 11-11-2006 01:14 PM

The pics were taken 7.30 in the morning. Heavy rain and wind. He was not glad to leave but he had a time schedule. Heading for France. Called me back half an hour later. Sounded real scared on cell phone. The rain was pouring down. He was southbound on the highway doing about 30 mph, constantly water planning on those 3xx rear rubber. Big trailer trucks passing him doing 60 mph.

Feeling less cool in his $350 k sports car..

scottmandue 11-11-2006 01:22 PM

Tell him I will trade him straight up for my Hyundai... does 60 MPH all day long in the pouring rain no problem... I'll even pay for shipping!

livi 11-11-2006 01:30 PM

Brilliant! He will be so pleased. :D
