Red rain containing biological cells?

I don't see any previous mention of this here, but here is a news story that sounds intriguing;

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6146292.stm

Esentially a red rain falling over part of India back in 2001 which has promted some interest:

quote from article:
"Not only did Dr Louis discover that there were tiny biological cells present, but because they did not appear to contain DNA, the essential component of all life on Earth..."

Anyone know more about this?

OK, I guess I was right. I thought this guy might be a bit of a crack-P.O.T

If you are into ET stuff, I found that amazing website on cropcircles:

http://www.cropcircleship.com/site/contents.php

It makes an interpreatation of all the crop circles as description for a new technology for free energy based on water spliting assisted by microwaves and magnetic fields. This is mind blowing because the same schemes come over and over, and the message seems real. Looks like some ETs are trying to teach us how to get away from oil...

I put on my tin foil hat before I walk in the rain now.

To be honest I wondered if their were any scieney-biology types here that could explain to us wot r ignorant why you might be able to find alleged biological cells with no obvious DNA.
Since then I have found lendaddy's 'biology' thread and couldn't care less about this one.
There is just something great about girl's bottoms...

I'm wondering what kind of biological cells are found in everyday rain (if any)?

Lendaddy has a "biology" thread? Me must find.

Yeah, kind-of...erm...human biology.

Some think that this red rain might be connected to the mysterious "morgellon's disease" (SP?)... but from what I hear it's just a hypothesis
