OTREGONIAN this morning ran a story on a guy who paind people $100 each, plus expensies to get in line with him...his plan was to hit ebay after the purchases. Insanity rules...tells me there are too many spoiled brats in this country.

Even at list price it's too spendy for me. I'll have to get the new GT though, hopefully the price will come down in a few months.

Lines around the local Best Buy. I was thinking of getting a brown box and running from the back past the line and yelling that the stock guys are selling them out the back door.

No worries, projected release date for Gran Turismo HD is set for 2007 which really means 2008. I have plenty of time to wait.

I bet if I change the "2" on my PS2 to a "3" and try to sell it on a streetcorner, I can get some sucker to give me a grand for it. ;)

Very good point. GT was the only reason I bought a PS2, and certainly the only reason I'll buy a PS3... By the time it REALLY comes out (like the last version I'm sure it will be delayed a year) the PS3 will be at a reasonable cost...

Look at eBay.

It seems that all of the auctions on PS3's closed at either < $500 or >$30,000. The winners of the > $30,000 auctions all have 0 feedback.

Seems like if you didn't put a reserve or high enough starting price, you lost money on your PS3. If you did, you got bogus winning bids.

how much software is out there for the PS3? The XBOX 360 has been out for some time and is just now starting to get a decent library of games to choose from.

Why spend $600 for a box that only has a few games for it?

As far as I am concerned there is only one game needed for my PS3 when I get it. GTHD.

Only one game gets played on my PS2 - GT4.

They're not going for 7000 the people who are trying to sell them for 1000 are bidding up the others to make theirs more attractive. Dont you guys know how this bull works? You have to put in a buy it now to end that crap. Plus you have to monitor bidders and weed out the zero to 5 feed back guys.

I'd rather invest in spare parts for the Porsche or purchase a top of the line PC instead.

I am content with my PS2 with GT4 & EA Hockey.

The only people dumber than those who stood in line for days are the morons who pay the crazy premiums for a video game that will be worth a fraction of the asking price in a few months.

EA Hockey - My eldest loves that game, and any other hockey game come to think of it. He'll play whole seasons in some games for weeks on end.
I still don't know which botton does what.

Get him out and on the rink.. I am 42 and I play a couple times a week, been at it since I was about 5... plus I coach youth hockey. ITs a great sport!
