Spam filtering e-mail host poll
Well, not a poll. Just wondering what people are using with success.
My e-mail provider--BePrivate.com--is going under. They were the challenge/reponse type and it worked great (except for the inconvenience to people e-mailing for the first time). This is for my personal e-mail address, which has been around for twelve years now, so I would get literally thousands of spams per day without a filter. Thanks for any suggestions. |
I haven't had any problems with Yahoo.

gmail or mozilla/thunderbird junk mail controls.

Just switched to Gmail from Yahoo. I get about 800 spam emails a day with Yahoo, all go directly into the bulk folder, so I have used this email address a bit much.
I use yahoo for all the "sign up" crap, and if its something valid then switch over to one of my full time private email addresses. |
I do exactly what Joe does. Gmail as my "real" email address and yahoo for a signup address.

gmail has great filtering.
I forward all my regular "compromised" accounts to it and read it there. Some of my accounts I've had for 12 years and simply can't stop using them even though they appear to be on every list out there. |
Are you guys using Google Apps, or standard Gmail? Can you use your own domain with Gmail?
