OJ Canceled
Yep Fox has canceled the book and interview. ....dam and I wanted to know how he woulda done it, if he did do it...
|
It is an idea that should never have hatched in the first place. This is a man that got away with murder and now he wants to be paid for it.
Fox was irresponsible for entertaining the idea and should not be applauded for canceliing it. |
Do you really think we will get the truth from him? Does HE even know the truth? I do. He killed them and we let him free.

In the book, basically he said that he went to Nicole's house to "scare her" with his friend, presumably AC Cowlings. Nicole had been in a 3-sum sex thing and OJ was pissed at her and what he presumed that she had become. When they got to her house, he took a knife out of the Bronco again to "scare" her... AC tried to get him to put it back but OJ refused... they go up to her house and he sees candles burning in the window symbolizing a romantic encounter... Nicole answers the door wearing a very revealing outfit... then Ron Goldman walks up, the dog gives him a friendly bark...this sets OJ off because he thinks the dog knows Goldman and Nicole has been waiting for him...he argues with Nicole, she tries to hit him and he pulls the knife, then Goldman jumps in and you can guess the rest...OJ says in the book that he doesnt remember what happens next.
Pretty sick, pretty pathetic individual... its good that it was pulled and he wont make a cent on it. |
If I'm not mistaken, most here would agree that O.J. should be cancelled....

OJ already got around $3.5 mil advance on the book, so he has already profitted from it. Scum, there's a hot place in hell waiting for him.

I think John Madden said it well during the Sunday night game on NBC. "Not all good football players are good people."

On www.cnn.com there is an article that indicates that fox could not get or keep sponsors for the show.
http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/TV/11/21/oj.cancel.ap/index.html No sponsors, no money, no good. They didn't pull the show because of what the public thought, they pulled it because it wasn't profitable enough. No morals at all at that network. Here's a little quip: "Sensation has long been in News Corp's game, but the Simpson book drew almost universal anger -- from those who knew Goldman and Brown, from booksellers and advertisers, even from Fox News Channel personality Bill O'Reilly. O'Reilly urged a boycott of any company that advertised on the special. A dozen Fox network affiliates said they would not air the two-part special, and numerous stores had either declined to sell the book or had promised to donate any profits to charity. "I really don't think there would have been very many advertisers who would have been willing to participate in this show," said Brad Adgate of the ad buying firm Horizon Media. With little advertising, Fox would miss the chance to profit from the show. If there were no advertisers, the show wouldn't even be rated by Nielsen Media Research -- so the number of people watching would have done nothing to help Fox's season average, he said." |

Here is what the OJ allegedly writes in the book: November 17, 2006 OJ Simpson Book If I Did It Excerpts Pop Culture | no comments yet Written by Eric G (Random)Excerpts of the OJ Simpson If I Did It Book A source familiar with Simpson’s upcoming book told the Enquirer that the former football star writes about driving to Nicole Brown Simpson’s house in a jealous rage on the night of June 12, 2004. “If I Did It” is billed as a hypothetical account - but readers may not see it that way. According to the Enquirer, Simpson writes that he was at home when his friend “Charlie” shows up unexpectedly and tells him, “Nicole did drugs and took part in kinky, three-way sex.” “O.J. explodes in rage. He’s worried about his kids and tells Charlie he’s had enough of being such an understanding ex-husband,” the source said. “He actually describes Nicole as ‘the enemy.’” Simpson writes that he and Charlie jumped into his Bronco and drove to Nicole’s Brentwood, Calif., home, intending merely to scare her into cleaning up her act. “He describes parking behind her condo and putting on the wool cap and gloves he wore for golf on cold days. Then he grabbed a knife he says he kept in the Bronco to deal with ‘crazies,’” revealed the source. At this point, Charlie snatches the knife from Simpson, the Enquirer says. Nicole has music on and has lit candles - which her angry ex interprets as meaning that she’s expecting male company. When Ron Goldman shows up, Simpson sees red. “Simpson writes that he angrily accused Goldman of having an affair with Nicole,” said the source. “Ron denied it.” At this point, Nicole opens the door “wearing a revealing black cocktail dress,” the source said. “Ironically, Ron’s fate may have been sealed when Kato, Nicole’s dog, came out of the house behind her, saw Goldman - and wagged his tail,” the source said. “O.J. yelled, ‘You must have been here before - look, the dog recognizes you!’” According to the Enquirer, Simpson writes that Nicole tried to hit him, and when he dodged her, she fell, hitting her head and that ” Goldman went into a defensive karate stance.” “Charlie tried to drag O.J. away — but instead, Simpson grabbed the knife from his friend, pointed it at Goldman and challenged him to fight,” the source said. Simpson writes that he doesn’t remember what happened next, the source said. The next thing he knows, he’s looking at the bodies and “that’s when he saw that the knife was still in his hand.” Random News |

should have let him do it. he might have given prosecutors something to re-try him with.
|
Can't re-try after a verdict has been passed down. Double jeopardy.
Now if he was stupid enough to admit to a different crime than the ones he was tried for....... |

but this was the only place on the web with any reference to excerpts...oddly enough. I wonder if any actual books got out into print...and maybe they will be worth something someday... nahh, probably not more than the worth of toilet paper. btw, the new allegations from the Brown family are that Fox tried to pay them millions in 'hush money' to keep their mouths shut about the pending broadcast. According to the Browns, they refused. |
