Should the time come...
..
|
I personally don't think the time will come when Muslims in the U.S. try to implement Sharia Law, but you never know. If it came to that unfortunately I do not believe that the government has the balls to throw these people out. There would be long drawn out legal battles, the ACLU would get involved defending the Muslims right to practice their religion. "Your Honor, my client was exercising his religious right to stone his daughter to death for dishonoring the family".
|
Well, right now Warren Jeffs's attourneys are arguing, "Your Honor, my client was exercising his religious right to force a 14-year old girl to submit to rape by a 19-year old." We'll see how that pans out...then you'll have your answer.

Hoorah Australia!

Well Wiz, it just happened in Germany, Family members killed own daughter (father and Brother did the shooting).. ' she dishonored us' was dating a local non-muslim..went to court..nothing..not even deported.
As for having the balls,,your kidding right ? Balls left the US long ago. Rika |
I think that everyone here should be offered equal protection under the law. Local, state, constitutional - whatever. But as for the granting of visas, greencards and citizenship - I think similar points need to be made. You don't buy into what we got going on - then you can just pack up and go home, or better yet - not get on a plane in the first place. A couple of billion people waiting to take your place. Bye.

I'll have to lift a Foster's in their honor tonight.

Would you believe Ontario, Canada had a debate whether to accept Sharia law and I believe it almost passed!!!
|
Another reason why a secular state is a Good Idea.
When you start down the slippery slope of mixing religion and government, where do you stop? |
