The Beatles LOVE

I'm absolutely obsessed with The Beatles--to me, they will never be surpassed. I took a class at school (USC) purely dedicated to them. Every week, we would run through an album, listen to the tiny details and effort they put into recording. Theres absolutely no one better than them and George Martin, in the studio. They just kept hacking away masterpieces after masterpieces.

If your familiar with their catalogue, I recommend buying the newest work , LOVE.
I never thought anything could get better than Abbey Road or Pepper, but this album is another masterpiece. George Martin shows his pure genious in this great compilation of some of the greatest musical pieces ever recorded, up to par with Beethoven's 9th, Coltrane's love supreme, or even Highway 61. I havent heard an album from start to finish, which hadn't lacked a dull moment since who knows when.

If you do get your hands on a copy, please listen from start to finish. It's a great experience for any Beatles fan.

I love the Beatles too... studied them growing up from a little boy...
But they keep repacking everything! I hope that this Love is better than "Let It Be Naked", which wasnt that good and sounded very odd - the Phil Spector string treatment and mixes.

I thought let it be naked was very good. It was original plain rock and roll, which is how the beatles intended the album to be. IMO Spector ruined let it be.

I dont know if any of you realize, but "LOVE" is not only just an album, it is a Cirque de Solei show at the Mirage in Vegas. I just saw it a couple weeks ago and let me tell you, if you love the Beatles than you will love "LOVE". It was fantastic! Best show I've seen in a looooong time.

LOVE

Checking out the Love CD here http://www.thebeatles.com/hearlove/index.php

Man these mixes (or remixes rather) really sound great even from my little laptop speakers! And they dont call me Sonic dB for lack of ears lol.

I have to give it to Geo Martin & Son for bringing some freshness to well played songs... well done.

I Love the Beatles.

I just happened to play one of my post issue Beatle CD's last night - both disc's of "Anthology"

The Beatles "Live at the BBC" is even better than "Anthology" but it's been a while since I played it.

I'll check out the new CD, thanks for the heads up.

Be sure to wear some really good headphones. There is some serious stuff going on there. I thought the idea of mixing different songs was weird but it works.

I am looking for a Bootleg copy of the Concert on the Roof of Abbey Road Studios..I heard once, and it was a great jam session. It was the last time they played together..

Why?

We know you are just going to put it in a vault for investment purposes.

I bought the copy of "Love" , the CD and DVD, we have been playing it all weekend. I think even if you never heard of the Beatles you would like this album.

After the rooftop concert John said "I hope we passed the audition"! LOL

Was there more than was shown in the movie Let it Be?
