New Toy

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1164238746.jpg My new toy, thanks Pops!! It's a .44 and easily converted to .50AE with barrel and clip. It's a heavy beast, but that should help with the recoil a bit :)

Mr. Deltoid 11-22-2006 03:42 PM

oh, yeah, I love desert eagles...my hands are too small to really fit well with those...I have an automag III in .30 carbine that's ALMOST as neat:)

Only in America!!!!

Motorcycle forum - pop guns - only in America!

Mr. Deltoid 11-22-2006 05:15 PM

Hey guns and scooters go together ;) It's the American way :)

jclark 11-22-2006 05:19 PM

...and don't forget Whiskey!

JonyRR 11-22-2006 05:26 PM

it's the difference between being a citizen and a subject.
When the UK confiscated firearms the crime rate went thru the roof; they have cameras on every corner portable fingerprint scanners in every cop car and still can't keep the crime rate under control.
If you defend yourself against a burglar in your own home in the UK you can be tried for assault. real utopia ya got there....

varmint 11-22-2006 05:33 PM

spent the summer in alaska. desert eagles are everywhere. i'd go into town every week for grocerys, the high school girl in the check out line ahead of me had one strapped to her hip. very appealing.

steve1 11-22-2006 05:36 PM

Um, motorbike forum!!!

Yeah sure mate, but look at your statistics - Americans - shoot Americans......................We like Mike Moore in Australia......

Cheerio

Mr. Deltoid 11-22-2006 05:39 PM

I'll second what Jony said.Common sense -should- tell you thugs will go out of the way to acquire stolen weapons not registered in their names. Are you going to rob a bank or kill someone with a gun in your name?Thugs love unarmed folks, easy pickins:( Take guns away from honest folks and chaos is just around the corner.....

Mr. Deltoid 11-22-2006 05:41 PM

Steve1, people kill people with cars, lets ban those to. Am I missing something here? Australians don't kill Australians? Wow, that's AMAZING!!!

foobeemer 11-22-2006 05:46 PM

Sweet piece bro!

arbik 11-22-2006 05:47 PM

Nice piece. I love how they look and shoot..but....not the most reliable action on that puppy.
If you want to see something..try your hand at a H&K P7.
now..THAT..is what I call a combat firearm!

Mr. Deltoid 11-22-2006 05:54 PM

Thanks arbik.I'm just a casual shooter, so reliability is not critical for me.I have a pocket sized Keltec for personal defense.I haven't shot it yet, but I would bet my Ruger .44 Redhawk kicks a helluva lot more that the Eagle.

Nothing against guns but despite or because of the US has the highest crime and murder rate among all industrialized nations.
And please help me what is the difference between a citizen and a subject?I thought since "patriot act" and nsa wiretapping we are all subjects to he homeland security bootlickers and despite what the founding fathers said, guns for sure did not keep us "free"...
Free of healthcare and retirement benefits,maybe...;-)
Chris

Mr. Deltoid 11-22-2006 10:14 PM

Chris, are you German? And NO I don't agree with the patriot act.Don't blame the guns , but the bootlickers. As for free healthcare and retirement, do you actually believe these things are free?I'm 36, I assume you are older. You should know better. As for the crime rate, poor or nonexistant regulation on immigration causes the problems.I've traveled enough to know that alot of problems are caused by politics, and misdirected policies.I have friends in Denmark that pay approx. 50% of wages in taxes.Yes it includes medical and education, but NEVER assume these programs are FREE.

...and it is ANY different to here, how???

...Oh yeah, I forgot... here the crime rates are through the roof, even though ANYONE can buy a gun on every street corner.

You are out of context, ask your "friends in Denmark", how much they are making... maximum tax bracket, I bet... and don't fall for the illusion, that it wold be any less here... it it just split up in:

Self-employment tax, state tax, federal tax, social security and such... in the end, do the math... maximum tax bracket!

So, if I understand you correctly, Mr Deltoid, ALL the immigrants are responsible for the crimes commited here in the US?... can I have some of that stuff you must be smoking, Mr. World Traveller???

Chris Geuting 11-22-2006 11:18 PM

As a "wage-slave" I pay almost 50% tax,too...And on top of that I pay additional tax for all the private insurance if I want to have the same benefits like my european brothers and sisters enjoy already included in their tax payment...
Therefore tax cuts (for the rich) equaled service cuts or tax increases for the rest of us...
I also don't think that immigration is the main reason for gun violence in the US.
It is more the fact that in the US the gap between the rich and the poor is wider than even in a class society like england...
Less paying jobs while unions get destroyed or jobs being exportet to india or china are the true and economic reasons for armed violence...
And of course guns were not the reason we lost our freedoms to our tyrannic government
that is more dangerous to our liberty and freedom than the "terrorists" it claims to protect us from but the citizens having not the balls to use them like our founding fathers envisioned the role of militias would have to play...
Chris
