Help Me Name My Schnauzer....

Heh heh... no, seriously.

Our 11 yr old Schnauzer Rudy died in October. Great dog. Here he is in August w/my son.

Here's the new puppy. Male, and a very good guard at 10 weeks already.

EDIT- OOPS... see next post!!

I'm trying find a name that will go with our female Candy.

Something German or military-ish, maybe. He's struts around like he's in charge.

We've bounced the usual names around
Jager
Ruger
Fido
Captain
Cruiser

What does the peanut gallery have to offer? If we use one of your suggestions, I'll gladly give you a hamburger. SmileWavy

This is too easy...you already have Candy, right? The new guy looks like a "Kane" to me....:)

M.D. Holloway 12-06-2006 06:44 PM

Something German - Schnaps comes to mind.

RickM 12-06-2006 07:15 PM

Cane (or Kane as PWD mentioned) is the first name that comes to mind. Pretty cool for your hansdome pup.

Here's our fearless Schnauzer, Jack.

We were undecided for a while between, Henry, Winston and Jack. But Jack won out.

Our old Schnauzer was named Baron.

Scooter 12-06-2006 07:50 PM

I first thought of "Cane/Kane" like mentioned above, but "Cotton" works too.

If you want something Porsche related, how about "Ferdinand"?

Dottore 12-06-2006 07:52 PM

My wife suggests "Otto".

Hugh R 12-06-2006 08:00 PM

I named a dog Otto once, it was named after the middle name of my father in law, I don't think he appreciated it though.

Dan in Pasadena 12-06-2006 08:03 PM

Maynard?

I've always wanted to name a dog an innocuous person's name like Bob or Phil.

DonDavis 12-06-2006 08:09 PM

We did discuss Cane but wife calls Candy "Candy Jo or Candy Cane" and also Jack, Cotton and a few others. I dig Otto.

Keep em coming! He's been here over week and needs a real name. Something besides Shi-thead pronounced "sha-theed" to keep it sly. HA! :D

RSBob 12-06-2006 08:09 PM

Even though his is technically not a 'wiener dog', how about Oscar?

Personally, I would prefer Maximus, or Max for short.

Dottore 12-06-2006 08:30 PM

Willy? Hugo? Helmut? Gustav?

Guy up the road has a terrier called 'Nietzsche'. Pretty silly though if you ask me.

LeeH 12-06-2006 08:43 PM

Ferdinand - Ferdi for short.

I was going to say we had a GSD named Baron!

dd74 12-06-2006 09:10 PM

We had Rottweilers - Heinrich and Baron.

Had a Cocker/Terrier mix named Geronimo.

Currently we have "Jace" (a name I never liked, so I call him Jason) - Chihuahua/Shih Tzu.

Don - your dog looks more like an Adolf to me. To me Schnauzers say "Adolf."

Cute Schnauzers sometimes say "Willy."

If you want something to go with "Candy" how about "Ass"? :D

JavaBrewer 12-06-2006 09:27 PM

Ryker - it was the name of our GSD. I think it's a cool name.

cool_chick 12-06-2006 09:35 PM

Spice?

Sugar?

How about Psalta? (socks in Greek, he has socks). LOL.

Edit: OMG he's a beaut.
