Greetings from Big Henry!

Hi everybody. I just wanted to say Hello to all my friends on this board that were so concerned about me when I was sick. Yeah I know I was stupid to eat that deer poop and it almost killed me, but hey I'm a dog we do stuff like that. Dad told me every day when I was sick that all you pelicans were pulling for me and giving him help and encouragement. I feel much better now. I have a good vet that lives in my neighborhood and I like her too cuz she saved my life. Thanks to all you here too.

Love,
Big Henry

When George first met my Misty, he tried to give her a hump. She gave him such a growl that he never tried that again.

I been thinkin about gettin another Airdale.. My Misty is 11 1/2 and still is very quick on her feet and is very alert. I see Airdales in the Rescue that are 2 to 3 years old..but wonder if I should get a Male or Female..I'd prefer Female, but how would Misty react? Misty was brought up with a Cat (Tuddy) and got along with George with nary a squabble between any of them really. I have a 1/4 acre lot, which gives them some yard room, but there is nothing for them to do back there. In my CA house there was always stuff for them to chase...Skunks, Possums, Rodents etc...even Birds and Lizards for the off days.

Misty is the gawd damed most independent dog U'd ever want to meet, and she has never taken ***** from anyone including me. To this day if she doesn't like sumthin she tells me, come to think of it she reminds me of Mother.

Most rescue dogs have issues. My first Airedale was a rescue but when he died we adopted another one that tried to kill my wife because she resembled the former owner. A lot of times rescue Airedales are cat killers too.

Is Henry a rescue?

Ole George had never seen a Cat before, either that or he was lying to me...actually he was curious of Tuddy...George was just a sweet heart of a dog..His big issue was other big dogs barking at him, I knew if he ducked his head down he was serious. Little dogs barking at him didn't bother him.

When we eventually get a dog my wife wants something small and cuddly.

I think I'll get an Airedale.

Right... Henry weighs in at 100lbs. Little Buddy weighs in at 87lbs. They are cuddly though. If you want the Airedale look and personality but not the size, go with a Welsh Terrier. They look like an Airedale you left in the dryer too long. About 30 lbs.

That last picture confirms the belief that dogs and their owners start to look alike afret a while. Glad Henry's better.
