Photo Shop Help
Hi,
I'm not very good with Photoshop and need a little help. I'm trying to remove a skin discoloration from my son's school photo. He was holding the leash when my dog decided to run in my direction. Unfortunately, my son didn't let go the leash and ... you know the rest. I'm using Adobe Photoshop Elements and I'm trying to figure out the proper tools/sequence to complete the job. Any suggestions? Thanks

Not sure about elements but in photoshop there is a tool - I believe it's called the repair tool - that lets you select a sample of the "good" image and paint it on the area of the photo that you want to fix.

I like using the tool that copies the area next to it and pastes it where u want it. u choose the area to be copied by pressing the alt key.

Thanks. The clone tool does help alot. My Canon printer came with some software that has a blemish removal tool. There's not much control over it but it does work well.

After you alt-click to mark the spot you're duplicating, it'll keep duplicating from the place you started, moving along with your new copy. You need to alt-click again to start over from a different spot with your next repair. Reducing the opacity of the tool helps you blend in.
Magnifying the spot you're working on and adjusting the diameter of the clone tool helps a lot, too.
