...and the Nobel Prize winner is.....(You're gonna love this)

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051007/ap_on_fe_st/ig_nobels

"The Winner Is... Fake Dog Testicle Creator"

"BOSTON - Gregg Miller mortgaged his home and maxed out his credit cards to mass produce his invention — prosthetic testicles for neutered dogs.

What started 10 years ago with an experiment on an unwitting Rottweiler named Max has turned into a thriving mail-order business. And on Thursday night Miller's efforts earned him a dubious yet strangely coveted honor: the Ig Nobel Prize for medicine...."

As if Carter winning the prize didn't make it worthless enough!

This is not the Nobel Prize. If you read the story it is the "Ig Nobel Prize" which is based on the most unusual research.

Other winners:

Research into whether humans can swim faster in syrup or water.
Research into the brainwaves of locusts while watching Star Wars
Research into the varying smells emitted by frogs.

You get the picture.

I never read linked articles in PPOT. And I rarely read more than the first two sentences of any post.

Bryan,

Were you scared by a liberal when you were a child? You're what, 24, 25 years old? Most people take a decade or two of adulthood to get as reactionary and disagreeable as you are.

Jamie, I'm 21. It all started at the age of six, when I found out that my babysitter was a communist. I loved to agitate her, so I began reading, listening to Rush, gleaning any pieces of information that would infuriate her. It was funny. When she'd try to sit us down in front of the TV for some awful shows on Nickelodeon or Sesame Street, I'd throw out one of these little tidbits and she'd shut the TV of and go into some crazy tirade. It was waaaaaay more entertaining.

Later on, I figured it would be fun to force my teachers to earn their pay, so I'd take some, seemingly indefensible position, and make them work to convince the class of their side. They always gave up, and much hilarity ensued.

In other news...Bush gets passed up for the Nobel Prize, despite working harder for world peace than any man since Reagan.

Arafat got one though.

the 1st two lines is all i read and it seems bry may have been molested at 6 by a babysitter that may, or may not have been a communist catholic priest.

I think his parents finally kicked him out of the basement, so now he doesn't have internet access.
