Couldn't we replace the ice with Gore and companies unsold books and DVD's thus offsetting the displacement losses?

Why not just cover the poles with all those pirated CD's and DVD's from China instead of crushing and burning them?

Would this then reverse the theory that decreasing numbers of pirates is the cause of global warming ?
