We all chipped in five apiece and got a sport shop gift certificate. He is a good boss and deserves something. I say that with my evaluation pending... ;)

I like to leave my boss little 'presents' every now and then, Christmas or not.

Just make sure the office is empty, drop off 'the goods', clear the area before it 'matures', and close the door on the way out to contain the gasses and let them fester.

No gifts exchanged at our place. We all chipped in and donated money to local kids in need.

We let him take Thursday and Friday off, so we can get some work done!

Last year we all pitched in and gave him $100 so he could take his wife out on the town. I think the year before that we bought him a golf pen holder thingy for his desk. He usually gets each person in the team something smallish, but I don't think he's doing that this year since his team is several people larger, so this year we did a white elephant thing.
