Calling all RUSH fans...

A few minor mistakes with the cymbal chokes, but this guy is one of the best Neil Peart wannbes I've seen.

Good, but he's no match for this guy:

Rush never did it for me. I can't stand the chick who sings for them.

I liked "2112", etc. many years ago, but that is funny :)

I was never a huge rush fan in High School, but I have come to respect them. I caught them in concert in South America on one of my cable channels a few weeks ago and they have held up very well and gave a great show.

Fantastic band. Love Lifeson's solo work too.

Rick Lee 12-20-2006 04:36 AM

They're just about done recording their latest album in upstate NY and will be touring again in the spring. I've seen them 35 times and will try to get it 50 on this tour.

Porsche-O-Phile 12-20-2006 06:25 AM

If I didn't hate the thought of getting ripped off $100 or more to see 'em from nosebleed with 70,000+ of my closest friends on a jumbo-tron, I'd do the same. Here's to hoping they play a few smaller venues - if they do, I'll gladly go see 'em again too! (only 3x for me, nothing like the 35 you've got - that's hardcore!)

Seen 3 times.

One of the tightest live bands there is.

Sweet animation of Peart!

Chocaholic 12-20-2006 11:33 AM

I posted the bobbybrane one over a year ago, and I still love to watch it!! The youtube guy is definetly good also!

gassy 12-20-2006 06:39 PM

Not only is he the best drummer ever--yeah, I said it--but he also wrote damn near all of the lyrics to all of the Rush songs...We all should know the words to Red Barchetta.

Rick Lee 12-20-2006 06:48 PM

I have lived the words to Red Barchetta. Driving a Ferrari 512BB like a maniac on a country road, that song was running through my head. Neil is also a huge BMW bike guy and has written a few very cool books, the last two of which are partly responsible for my newfound motorcycle hobby.

boboli 12-20-2006 07:09 PM

Damn that guy is good. I wish I was half that good when I played. Pratice makes perfect! That Neil Peart Buddy Rich tribute, he just does not look the same when he is not behind all those drums like he was when I seen them as a kid. It sucks to get old.

BTW, here's the original version of the first link done by the pros.
