Anyone in Pensacola?

My wife and I are thinking about spending a week on Pensacola Beach some time around the end of May. Is the place all fixed up from the hurricanes? We love going down there but want to make sure that at least most of the places we like are up and running.

Thanks for any help.

I was there the first of the year, and seemed to be in good shape. I stayed at a new Hampton Inn on the Beach, was brand new. There was a great Asian Fusion place in the Hilton Garden Inn that was to die for.

Unless there's something you have to do in Pensacola, step over to Destin.

Peter,

Is that due to damage or because you prefer Destin? I've been both places but Destin was way back when I was in the Air Force. I really liked Destin and Ft. Walton but I'm much more familiar with Pensacola these days and feel a bit more comfortable with the area.

Well the damage is less too, but if you're there for the beach/activities Destin is way nicer.
