nice :)

Uh....I don't THINK I'm a PETA type; although I've got zero problem with the ethical treatment of animals...nevertheless, why was this necessary? Bees are good guys, honey, polination, etc. Its not like a ball of cockroaches or house flies.

Call a bee collector, I think some of them come for free as they want them for the honey. Stupidity too. If all that had gotten out of control we'd be seeing some idiot with his house burned or his body burned and for what? "What a bunch of maroons!"

Flatbutt1 12-26-2006 07:41 PM

what an azzhole this guy is. I don't have a real problem with wiping out the colony especially for the kids, BUT throwing a couple of quarts of gas onto a burning fire... what an azzhat

JavaBrewer 12-26-2006 09:33 PM

F**k the bee's - I'm allergic and have been stung w/o provocation a couple times. I hate them.

rouxroux 12-27-2006 03:07 AM

yeah, I wish they had contacted an amateur beekeeper. This sort of reminded me of a "Beavis & Butthead" episode.

Porsche-O-Phile 12-27-2006 06:23 AM

ROFLMAO!!!

Too funny.

Anyone else catch the seat of the swing set? Ruined.

I also want to know what it was like looking through the viewfinder of a camera while someone lobs a 40-pound trailer hitch in your direction, through a swarm of pissed off bees, that happens to be blocking your access path to the doorway. Funny as all hell, but not very well thought-out.

Bees are kinda' cool actually but fire is even cooler.

Well done. And I mean "Well Done"!

ben parrish 12-27-2006 06:43 AM

Real brain trust going on there. If they would have left it alone, the bees would have been gone by morning. The bees were swarming around a queen; that is why they kept going back to the same spot. Her pheromones were on the swing set and it triggered the workers to follow.
They had either out grew their current home or more likely, another queen had matured and was forced out of the colony. She will have a certain amount of worker follow her to form a new colony.
Pretty stupid move; bees are essential in pollinating flowering plants and fruit trees. Once again, the general population should not be allowed to breed. Notice how the bucket of gas is being thrown toward the camera? One wrong bounce and there would have been idiot flambé.

coloradoporsche 12-27-2006 07:33 AM

Now that's a good bug....good and dead.

Anything with more than 4 legs should be killed on sight in my book. Yea, I know there's an ecosystem and all that but there's plenty more where they came from. Total number of bugs on this planet dwarfs all other life.

At any time, it is estimated that there are some 10 quintillion (10,000,000,000,000,000,000) individual insects alive. (Source: Smithsonian Institution).

And those particular bugs could kill a number of people in that environment. Nobody's going to miss them.

Fantastic:D

Man, some of you guys need to lighten up. That's one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.

"OH DEAR LORD ITS SO BEAUTIFUL." :D:D:D

ben parrish 12-27-2006 08:20 AM

Lendaddy, Oh yeah, real funny to kill innocent creatures.......... How would you like it if someone did that to you??

Nahh, just kidding, it was pretty funny but really stupid.

By the way, I have done many more stupid things than that. (Maybe I shouldn't have bred???) We used to throw pint jars of gasoline in the air with a burning wick attached. It is amazing how big the fireball is when you shoot it with a shotgun. No injuries but a few small brush fires were started.
I just got a thing for bees. Dad used to keep bees and we loved the honey every fall. Honey comb is natures chewing gum.

Sometimes we must embrace the stupid:D

Don't ask me about my early pipe bombs....

See the stupid....feel the stupid...BE the stupid.

Those guy are just doing what I use to do........when I was 15 years old. I'm sure the bee's deaths were quick and merciful for those concerned, God rest their tiny bee souls.http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/burn.gif

Well duh the world will not miss one more hive of bees but Ben hit it right on, they were swarming a queen and would have moved on if left alone.

No great loss however not the brightest bulbs on the tree as it were.

I wonder how many time "hold my beer and watch this" was uttered in the filming?

Porsche-O-Phile 12-27-2006 01:12 PM

Ever wonder how many visits to the E.R. are preceeded by the words, "hey guys, watch this!"?

I have.
