Well, at least no one was hurt............this time.
Quote:
The incident ended with no arrests and no injuries.
..............................
Day Care Center of McLean County Director Dana David, whose building is next door to the apartment complex, said staff members moved all children into the building’s basement and called parents to pick up their children when teachers realized something was wrong. The teachers spotted officers with assault rifles along the fence line, and she saw officers with rifles lying across the street, she said.
...............................................
Despite squad cars with flashing lights blocking the westbound lanes of Market Street, many drivers still drove around the squad cars instead of turning onto northbound Hinshaw or eastbound Market. And despite a black SUV blocking the entrance to the parking lot for a currency exchange across from the apartments, a stream of people tried to pull into a small entrance near trash bins or walk up to the building to cash checks.
Officers eventually blocked the entire intersection with additional vehicles and directed traffic and pedestrians away from the area.

I was working on my front porch once, had it all blocked off because it was torn up in the middle of demolition. I had a sign saying "go around back to knock on door", I even had that yellow caution tape all around........................three different people climbed over the barricade to ask if I had parking spaces for sale for the U of M game (I live a couple of blocks from the stadium). College education, it's a terrible thing to waste.:D
