Anyone want these Laserdiscs?

I cannot imagine why you would, but before I toss them......

Some of these came with the player when I bought it and some I bought, which is which is not important:D I sold my monstrous entertainment center and these don't make the grade for relocation as I no longer have a player.

Anyway, they are free to the taker. I'll even throw in shipping for good karma.

Christmas Vacation
Driving Miss Daisy
Jurassic Park
Mississippi Burning
Schindler's List
Searching for Bobby Fischer
Speed
Star Wars Return of the Jedi
The Firm
Top Gun

You must take all or nothing:D

I'd take those off your hands. I, amazingly, still have access to a laserdisc player. I'll shoot you a pm.

Next thingyou know someone will be trying to unload kinescope recordings!!

Or better yet, their collection of BetaMax tapes.....

I can't get my pioneer player to play side "B" anymore, it used to do it automatically.

I took it out of my system years ago.

It's large and heavy, for cost of shipping it's free.

Mine just stopped working a year or two ago, these poor discs were orphaned:(

}{arlequin 12-28-2006 09:44 AM

i think the quality is very good. more resolution than a dvd (but prolly not the new blue ray etc). other than size, i never thought they were in need of phasing out. wish i could wire mine up w/ something better than s-vid connection. hdmi would be nice.... i bought an older pioneer (cheapest model that had the 'good' internals) but maybe the newer ones have hdmi...?

lendaddy 12-28-2006 09:45 AM

My old Sony had optical outs, but I'm not sure how they rated for quality.

}{arlequin 12-28-2006 09:46 AM

guess now that THIS idea has popped into my head, i'll start searching for ones based on the outs

watch this space for pioneer for sale soon :D

I still have my Pioneer as well, and a box of discs, but it is all currently sitting in the closet -- mainly because the equipment rack and media storage rack are full! I actually bought a bunch of used and new discs dirt-cheap back when DVD's took over the market. Got some killer movies for under $10.

Hmmm. Count me in when you're ready to give up your vinyl collection!
