Interesting. Soundtrack needs major work, however.

Eddy current testing is a method of NDE that induces an electrical current through a part and any disruptions in the flow of the current can be evaluated against known flaws. Basically a fancy way to look for cracks.

Eddy current testing is sorta like sonar looking for both cracks and for other material defects such as inclusions or pockets.

I see that the forged wheels run atound Y50K to Y70K (~ $450 - $600) each. I could not find if they have them in Porsche pattern, or just in rice. I definately saw a few styles that I like.

I made a sales visit to the Bendix aircraft wheel and brake factory (owned by Honeywell) in South Bend, IN a while back, and got a plant tour. The billet forged stuff was cool, but the carbon fiber/composite stuff was REALLY cool.
