Yeah, I love those guys, Jim. They have some really bad-ass Ducati cafe's as well.

I wish they supplied tanks and seats for the older Sporties like mine. That would certainly seal the deal on which way I would go when I start putting it back together.

Dueller 01-31-2013 12:46 PM

Hey Jeff...saw this tank at Benjies Cafe Racers. Specifically made for sportsters. On a '76 Ironhead. No frame mods required Seat was shortened from the one they sell

A bit pricey at $650 but he does make quality pats.

Thanks, Jim. That looks pretty darn cool. I just spent some time perusing their website - I may have to give this some thought. That's kind of the look I'm after, or close to it.

I think what would be really cool would be a bare aluminum tank. Dreaming, I know...

This has been going on in my head. A 75o two stroke triple from the early 70's in a modern chassis.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1359921758.jpg

Boy that does look sweet and bet the acceleration would be interesting...

Joe Bob 02-03-2013 01:59 PM

That was the short coming on the triple back in the day...all go, no stop, no turn.
