I never liked rollers...

Yeah, I don't like rollers either just because I can't keep my balance for too long. They feel more natural than trainers though, even the fluid ones.

U use to be able to do that, no hands & all, but never had a mullet to play with:D
I can still ride them though, without, don't know about that anymore. I do have a friend who use to be able to wheelie on his rollers :cool:

I loved riding my rollers, and am looking to get another set!!

He reminds me of one of those guys that yacks through the whole club ride until you finally get annoyed enough and drop him for the last hour on the way back to town...

i can barely take one hand off the bar, let alone both hands and one foot! i hate riding rollers, so maybe i just don't get enough practice...that or i just have crappy balance! :p

A few tricks...

Place a sturdy table or bench off to one side that you can lean on when you first start...forget the stupid "starting in a doorway" trick.

Use a low gear and get your cadence up to 80-90 rpm or better quickly...don't try to slog along in gear with no wheel speed. Getting the bike moving is actually easier because you get the gyro effect of the wheels to help you stay up and stay smooth. You'll notice the guy in the video gets his pedal rpm up quickly.

Eyes forward, get a TV propped up at 4' to 5' off the ground, don't stare at your bars or front wheel.

Make sure your front wheel is sitting close to straight over the top of the front roller.

Piece of cake...before long you'll be standing up pedaling...;)

I know rollers feel more like 'real' riding, but the thought of plowing through the wall has always tempered my enthusiasm for them.
