small biz web site hosting
 

Hey Guys,

My wife is wanting to start doing some CAD and engineering from the house in the off hours, SolidWorks and Autocad stuff, so we need to put a small website to advertise.

Who has the best/cheapest/easiest hosting?

Not sure about hosting a business, but for my personal sites I like dreamhost.com. They've been around a long time, actually let you know when/what goes wrong when it rarely goes down and are really cheap. Check their forums for discounts.

I've never used Dreamhost but have heard nothing but positive things about them. I was going to get an account with them but they got out of the dedicated server business, my clients all require dedicated hosting.

Also pair.com are 1st rate.

1and1.com is a huge outfit. I have and currently do use them. They are average, maybe a bit better than average. I find their webmail to be flakey. For your situation they should be fiine.

Avoid CI Host, they used to be great but have had customer service iissues lately.
