If the folks could just get William Jefferson to let loose some of his "cold cash", we could throw a big party around MLK day in NO...how'za bout it William?
|
Don't look to Oregon as a shining example...things are politically corrupt here as well, and it's the rare night that Portland doesn't have a gang murder or two...

The politicians in Mexifornia aren't corrupt, they're just stupid. Arnold just announced that he will push legislation for cleaner gasoline that will reduce CO2 output by 10% in 10 years. He thinks that california can solve the greenhouse gasses problem singlehandedly.
Can you say $6 per gallon of gas? you heard it here first. It will not be cheap or easy to acomplish that goal. Some refineries will say to heck with it and close down, the ones that stay will profit from the lower supply, the price will go through the roof. If he just kicked all the people out of california who are here illegally that would reduce the amount of gas burned by over 10% but he doesn't want to hurt the feeling of the criminals who broke the law when they snuck into this country and are still breaking the law by staying here. |
Forget gas - what about the mandatory insurance initiative for EVERYONE that Arnold wants to pass. Who's going to pay for that, I wonder?
As for gas prices, a Prius or any sort of diesel will do the trick. But then Cali isn't allowing new consumer diesel autos or SUVs in the state, right? Damned if you do, damned if you don't. |
You couldnt pay me to go to NO right now.
Anyone else see that story last year, of the young guy who killed is girl, cut her up, put her in the oven and then jumped to his own death off of the Omni Hotel? Freaky. Perhaps the evil spirits have taken over that town. |
I was in NO five times last year after Katrina, it was a dump before and still is. Nagin had a Japanese company come in after Katrina and offer to buy all the flooded cars for $100 each; Yego, Porsche whatever. He said no, now he's paying over $100 each to have them scrapped out. There are tens of thousands of cars. What an idiot.
BTW, apparently the Bloods and Crips have franchises here in New Zealand. |
