Carlsbad CA

I'm going to be in Carlsbad, California towards the end of this month and wondering what is in the area. Any suggestions for restaurants, porsche (must see) shops, etc...would be appreciated!

Roehn Porsche dealership is big, right off the 5 Fwy. The ranuncula (sp?) flower farm is outrageously beautiful and photogenic. Go to La Jolla, its right next door and you'll fid the same things there as in Beverly Hills.

If you go south into San Diego and you like parks/museums/zoos Balboa park is a must see SD zoo is world famous(and in Balboa park). Hotel Del Coronado is cool if you like old buildings and they have a pretty good restaurant (been a loooooong time since I have been there). I'm sure there are good places to eat in SD but it is not my hood.

The relocated "Crystal cove" get together is not too far from there if you want to see ultra car$. Going north up the coast there is Laguna/Newport beach, lots of fancy restaurants, a little rich for my blood (and a bit of a drive for me) but maybe someone here could point you to some nice places to eat in the area.

I think 'black beach' looks to be a winner so far! ;-)

There are lots of hang gliders that take off from the cliffs (couple of hundred of feet high) right above Black's Beach. You can take your binoculars & watch the hang gliders when you point them up & the people on the beach when you point them down. Otherwise if you want to go to the beach, you'll have to walk about half a mile on the road that goes down or walk south from Torrey Pines beach for a mile or two. I quit going there many years ago when the concentration of weirdos got to be too much. But for a long time, there sure were some nice looking ladies there (& a representation of not so nice too).

What kind of people go to an all nude beach?

Are these the kind of folks you would want to see "all nude"

I got a weird feeling about that.

Back in the '70s lots of seemingly normal people went there. Not many fat people and maybe 10% old people. Some of the girls that went there & played in the water & on the beach were incredibly nice to look at. Can't comment about today though. I decided not to go back one day when I saw some skinny, dippy looking guy humping his air mattress on the beach while looking at the girls. When he got through, he stood up with the mattress in front of him & went into the surf with it. I guess to wash it off. Eewwwww!

Big nude beach in my town. Just normal folks who enjoy swimming and sunning without clothes. Naturally it also attracts a few pervs who come and stare - but they are made to feel unwelcome pretty swiftly.

As for the standard of beauty - well it runs the full spectrum from 1 to 10.

I ran into my parents at a nude beach once when I was in my late teens - but that's another story.

yeah, it seems like the fantasy and the reality may be two very different things.

Blacks is not a "legal" nude beach, and this time of year you won't see much. Great surf break though.

What is great about Escondido? Pass...

The glider port near Torrey Pines golf course is cool (Salk Institute is right next door). La Jolla Cove is pretty beautiful, as is the entire stretch of La Jolla beaches (some famous surf breaks there), but you have to know where you're going.

Other typical tourist crap is Balboa Park and the Zoo, but it actually is quite nice.

Maybe modeling that swimwear will earn her enough money to buy a pair of tits.

slakjaw 01-12-2007 01:25 PM

Alright. I just saw a pic of a naked guy playing horse shoes. Never once did I think I would ever see something like that.

I would go, its something that would be a fun experiance and a good story. Just beware of naked guys with horse shoes..... and the other ones with really big fish.
