If and when these terrorists start blowing themselves up in America, our lifestyles will change dramatically. The way fire departments and police departments handle calls for service will change.
I fear the day should this happen. Excuse me for a second, I am in the drive through of Krispy Kreme. I'll take 6 glazes please. David

I'm surprise nobody has mentioned this: fear is a weapon and it has been successfully used against us.
The masses are not as intelligent as the individual and easily succumb to fear and the irrational that goes with it.

This is pretty much whitewash designed to avoid chaos. Anyone who works in the industry knows how to get something onboard a plane, and 90% of the time the securty and TSA is not there to stop it.

Anybody who has flown to Israel knows that airport security is a serious and necessary business these days. You have to ask yourself how things would be without it. I don't want to think about it. The idea is to protect the passengers as best you can.
The 9/11 modus operandi is probably passe--mainly because it took three flights before the passengers in the 4th realized what was going on and overwhelmed the terrorists before they could take out another government building. They knew they had nothing to lose. I would guess they tore those guys apart limb for limb before they went down. The security challenge is to figure out what the next modus operandi will be. They are surely working on that.

As has been pointed out... you'd be hard pressed to find a politician willing to pull this federal dollars feeding tube.
