WeIrDeSt JOB you've ever had........?

Right after college and while my security check/drug tests were being procesed, I took a temp job at Nintendo. 1988.

We unloaded hundreds of returned video game consoles and opened them up on a de-production line for rebuild/testing/refurbishing.
My 'boss' was a chinese lady: "wook hawduh.....wook fastah!!'....a real b!tch of a whip cracker.
Inside we'd find, gum, cockroaches, hair, candy.....
Worked next to a guy named Cash.....just got out of prison for check forgery.

Was prety much the only 'job' I could tell the jerks to esentially f-off when I left......

My weirdest jobs when I was a kid, I worked for baseball cards for my cousin at Albertsons and put the six pack ring back on the six packs after sorting.

My weirdest job....the weird part wasn't the job. I was hired to help a young factory set up some welding cells and to run a laser welding rig and would usually work alone on the second shift. One night the owners 16 year old daughter comes in and says hi. We talk for a while and she says "well, goodnight". Yep, she lived in the office with her father. :D

My first job ever, when I was sixteen, my uncle pulled some strings and got me a summer job with a little family business printing magazines. Turned out they mainly printed porn! I would have worked their for free!

My uncle is now a billionaire, by the way..

Mom ran a day old bread store when I was a kid (13 or 14). During the grand opening I dressed up in a bluebird mascot costume (Bonnie Bluebird) Was taking pictures with the customers and stuff. What I really remember is it was about 90 degrees that day. I sweated my ass off in that damn suit that day.

Between my junior and senior year in HS, I worked at a golf course that was under construction. Very high tech work: I got to carry a peach basket and walk the plowed fairways picking up roots and sticks.

Fill basket, walk back to truck, dump basket, repeat.

$1.65 an hour. I don't think I've ever had more disposable income!

When I was in HS I worked for a guy my dad knew that ran a cylinder head rebuilding shop out of his garage. He was zoned to do it in a rural area.

I got really good at it and could rebuild a set of v8 heads in record time.

One day he comes into the shop and pulls up the floor over the pit in the floor and tells me to start rebuilding all the heads in the pit. I could not even count how many there were but there were a LOT of them.

I rebuilt every last head and they were all put up on the shelves. He laid me off after that saying he had no work.

About a year later I found out what happened. He had me rebuild all the crackd, no good heads to creat the illusion that he had a huge invetory. He laid me off so I would not be around when he sold the business.

From what I heard the new owner was looking for my old boss and I do not think this was going to be handled in court.

Back when I was a seasonal with CDF, I always ended up being the one who had to wear the Smokey the Bear suit for parades and other PR functions.

Weirdest? In the back room of a pachinko parlor in Japan. Rolling millions of slot coins and hauling buckets of steel pachinko balls. Money was like water for these folks - they paid me very well...

Like many others, it wasn't the job that was wierd.... My senior year of high school, I was promoted to assistant manager at one of the local movie theatres. This theatre happened to be located in the local shopping mall.

Do you all have ANY idea what you see happen in a theatre from the projection booth?!? I can't even begin to put a number on how many panties, used condoms, condom wrappers, alcohol bottles, and vibrators we cleaned up! Nice thing about being manager.... I didn't have to clean it all up anymore :)

The local utility would bring in rail tank cars of propane to augment their natural gas supply for making electricity. I and 2 others ran 24 hour shifts to single handedly unload the tanker cars. Dayshift one week, swing the next and the graveyard.
