I don't know if this is a repost or not, just thought it was pretty wild. Kind of reminds me of the old "chickens fired at canopy" tests.

In all seriousness, the bird was probably standing on the road when the car approached at significant speed. The bird didn't lift off quite in time. I saw the pics a year or so ago and I really don't want to see them again. What a mess. Can you imagine the clean up?

you're right milt! I once saw a few buzzards feeding on a carcass on the side of the Interstate....They took off when an 18 wheeler approached. One "did not QUITE make it" and became a "Trans Am" decoration on the radiator. Sorry for the repost.
