Barrett-Jackson Auction Withdrawal – Anyone Tape It?

I have watched all of the previous Barrett-Jackson auctions on Speed for the last 10 years, and have always enjoyed watching the ridiculous circus of over-valued cars, egos and pomp and circumstance. Wonderful entertainment in the dead of winter. This year, however, I missed it.

My cable company dropped Speed from my cable package last year, making it only offered to those who have a digital cable box. For the upgrade, I would have had to pick-up a digital cable box and buy an entire set of digital cable channels (in a package) that I have no interest in. Given that I really only watched Speed for the BJ auction, F1 racing and the odd vintage car race, the cost didn’t seem to make sense. Up to this point, I didn’t miss it that much.

But I’m having BAD WITHDRAWL right now! Did anyone tape some of the auction on VHS? My neighbors and colleagues either don’t have the channel or a VCR. Aside from being extremely grateful, I will (of course) pay return shipping from Connecticut.

Needing a fix, badly.

John,

Wish you had posted this a few days ago, would have Tivo'ed it for you.

The show is over now, hope someone else got it. The prices were out of this world...

I recommend you consider satellite TV. My wife and I switched over in CA, moved to SC a year ago, the move was seamless with regard to DirectTV people. New receivers, no problem. Rewire your house, even though it was wired improperly by our guy before you bought the house, no problem. Reception is as good as cable, better most times, and no packages with unneeded channels.

That's the antenna on the left edge of this photo.
