Lucius Vernas has joined the Dark Side of the force and has taken over the Aventine at the beckoning of Mark Anthony.

Octavian is begining to assert himself as a shrewd little man...
and at the end of episode #2, Lucius children are seen to have been sold into slavery and are not dead...now is that really any surprise. Octavian is on his way to join his friend Agrippa.

Cleopatra is a shrewd cookie who is casting her web over Mark Anthony...Anthony can't make it on his own and needs someone who can think outside of the box for him...and Cleo will fill that need. Also Octavian sees Cleos & Julius Caesars little boy Caesarian to be a potential threat to him.

3 new characters have been introduced...Levi the Brother of Antias Jewish Mercenary, an old Legionary comrade of Pullos and Vernas has joined the Dark Side, and a poor lad willing to su{k co{k. It really is too early to see what part they will play in the coming intrigues.

However Lucius childeren will be returned to Lucius by Octavian in exchange for his support against Anthony. Pullo is allready Octavians man. Bet on Octavian...

The worse part is waiting a week. Great show, great acting.

Someone fiddles, while Rome burns. That's all I remember from Grade 8.

I am totally enthralled with this show.

Have you read "The Twelve Caesars" by Suetonius? Great book!!

I liked "Caesar's Bicycle" better....
