So, are you complaining about the car, or the EX?

+1 Though there are a couple cars on this board I'd give exception to.

Tails(unless needed), Porsche scripts, after market steering wheel adaptors, BBS wheels, burgundy interiors(which I have).

I have everything you hate in a 911 (plus a 3.6) and I love it!!
*edit*
Tail on a narrow body - check
Tail on a Targa - Check
Black rims - Check
Aftermarket rims - check
Targa top - Check

You probably hate the RUF style bumpers and powder coated headlight rings too.

Not having heat, A/C and a radio which works well.

The phone dials have grown on me, thought it would never happen.

That's a good-looking car, Jim! Perfect example of the phrase, "it's all in the execution." Your car has or is a number of things that I normally do not prefer, ie. guards red, targa, light interior..., but yet it looks awesome because of the rims/stance/bumpers. IMHO of course.

I'm pretty sure that this thread was meant ask what people believe are the design/execution flaws of all 911s, not a styling critique of rim choices and hanging air fresheners. That is another topic, and frankly both have been beaten to death over the years on this board. (Or on the main board).

Modification choices are like the GF pictures that sometimes get posted here. I may not like them, but as they say in the used car business:

"There's an ass for every seat"....

How easy it is to whoop 'em (and 914s) at Auto-X in my 944.

Sorry guys. . .

Actually I really like the 911s, I just hate the oil leakage problems and the crack-tastic dashes (although those are both problems on 944s as well. . .)

Nice looking car, Jim!

What don't I like about 911's?

When at a DE, the 911 driver I've been following for 5 laps refuses to give me a point-by because I'm driving an inferior 944S2. Despite the multiple BLUE FLAGS being furiously waved at the driver by the flaggers. No, GOD didn't miraculously put me behind you all of a sudden - I've been tailing you for the last 5 laps - and they're waving the flag at YOU, not the next 911 half a lap behind us. And no, I won't hold you up in the straights - 'cause if you'd ever let me pass, after the next set of corners, I'll be long gone.

Rant over. I feel better now. Oh, and someday I do plan on getting one of them butt-scraping nine-eleben type cars to see what the fuss is all about.

+1. I really do want to pick up a 911 but I'd have to get rid of at least two other cars first otherwise the wife would cut my nads off.

Side note: regarding dash cracks - a the occasional coat of Vinylux and a sun shield does wonders in preserving the dash of our cars.

Thank you and I agree about the DE thing.

I track my RX7 and there are not many cars that can keep up. Typically, a 911 is holding up a parade of cars on the track if not a Corvette. Very frustrating. When ANYTHING comes up behind me I move over right away and let them by.

Solid black wheels look like a temporary spare.

Body colored targa bars look like hell.

Sheepskin seat covers look better on the sheep.

Bra's belong on women, not cars.

I hate it when people don't bother to paint the headlight trim rings. Looks like those kids in Hondas with primered body kits. Yuck! Raccoon eyes on a Porsche look awful.

1)i don't know if it's me, but seats feel too low.had to make blocks to raise my seat
2) breaking down in one, seems if you break down in a Chevy, ford or other car .people come over and give you a hand whether it's pushing off the road or a boost, PORSCHE they just drive by no help unless it's another person who owns one !!!

+1,000. Assumes of course you have a good dash to begin with though.

I just FINALLY purged myself of dash cracks, hopefully forever. Now all my cars have perfect dashes (replaced the one on my Callaway car last weekend). They'll all be under covers and getting Vinylex every two weeks per my normal "routine cleaning & maintenance" schedule.

Lexol for the seats too. I'm finally rid of all my torn/worn seats. What a pain and expense just to undo the neglect of P.O.s and the ravages of time!

My car had a "Harley Davidson" front license plate on it when I bought it and I removed it as soon as I pulled into my garage. I hate those "front license plates" that are advertising HD or some sports team. Just my .02 worth...

The power steering in my 993 is pretty lame. Steering effort is like a Cadillac at parking lot speeds.

When I was at the PCA Autocross last weekend. One of the PCA guys I was course working with is involved in boats on some way and care products. He said he uses this marine vinyl treatment that is just amazing, when you think about it, a marine enviroment is probably the most severe so a product to protect vinyl will be top notch. Food for though.
