doing my taxes
I could not figure out why the number of shares reported by my broker did not match my calculations. I had to go back to 2003 when the fund divided the shares into class A and class B, but did not give equivalent shares. They converted 1421B shares to 1327A. Then when I sold the 1327A I did not subtract 1421 shares from my summary, only subtracted 1327 as if they were B shares and also figured my capital loss incorrectly. Now am finally coming forward. I wish these fund mangers would quit fooling around.

It seems brokers and broker statements are on my annoyance list every tax season.
