Check out my newest gun...
This is one of my all-time best steals. It began life as a bone stock, Springfield Mil-Spec. 1911 in stainless. Some poor guy on Glocktalk had to get rid of her after he had had a trigger job done and used the barrel for something else. So I got the gun for - ta da - $275 delivered, albeit with no barrel.
I rounded up a beavertail, skeletonized hammer, trigger, guide rod kit and barrel on eBay (all new) for under $100 total. Then I shipped her off to Robar to have a front dovetail cut for Trijicon tritium sights, the other stuff fitted and the whole schmear redone in Roguard and NP3. They did the wrong trigger, but I'm sure they'll make it right later. Anyway, the UPS man just brought it back to me. My photography skills SUCK. But here she is. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1170203063.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1170203086.jpg Here she is with her reverse finish twin. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1170203121.jpg NRA Range is closed tonight, but I'll be there when they open tomorrow at 5:00. |
Nice, Rick. It looks good.
Of course I am partial to .45's. Here are a couple of my carry gun, one of it in the Milt Sparks holster. My picture taking skills suck too. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1170204168.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1170204212.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1170204355.jpg Bill |
Rick, your white balance setting is wrong, off hand I'd say you were using incandescent lights on the daylight setting. Reset it to either the incandescent setting or automatic.
Oh, and the new piece looks interesting. |
And here I sit, unable to find a wholesaler with a basic Rock Island 1911 for me to buy....
Movin to the heavy iron... no AR15 for me, its the FAL... no 9mm... I want/need a 1911... (unless I get a CZ97 or clone) |
