Great name for a car. :D

considering how Sonny ended up I don't think I'd want to name my Porsche after him.

You've had lots of good suggestions, so let me be contrary ... don't accept any of them.

Your car may not actually have a name.

If it does, it will tell you what it is.

If you try to impose a name on it, it won't stick.

So you have to listen ... carefully!

Enjoy.

Got news for ya. We ALL will end up like Sonny. The only question is when and how.

don't run from me.....

JMatta 02-01-2007 03:12 PM

I had a black on black '83 SC.. I called him "Evan" ( for 911). My black 986 is called "Junior".

Nope, I've met Otto. That would be an insult to the car.

We're all gonna end up glued face first to a big a$$ tree?

randywebb 02-01-2007 03:50 PM

give it a Scottish name - I do that with Golden Retrievers

since it's black, maybe something that plays off the Black Watch Tartan (you can do the centers of the seats in that tartan too).

I like Darth Porsche a lot. But today I was driving in the slush and thought a good name would be Black Ice. What do you guys think?

Black Ice is good - ties in with the Wm. Gibson novels too.

hi katie,
i think "the land shark" has a nice ring to it.
david

p.s. i still think that a group contribution for the " buy katie a nice piece of porsche jewelry" fund is a great idea. anyone else agree.

Zef 02-01-2007 04:39 PM

I think black ice is the opposite of Fritz and would have the opposite effect when verbalized.

porsche930dude 02-01-2007 04:41 PM

somthing german like .....stein or .....meister . Personally i dont name my vehicles. I just name them by their make. The only way that would get confusing is if you had more than one of the same make vehicle

I think that a group contribution for the "Buy David an on-line dating subscription" fund might be an even better idea.

I know we don't see a lot of girls here but let's keep our knickers on. ;)

JV911SYDNEY 02-01-2007 05:15 PM

"Black Betty"

mine is "the red barron"

Seriously, I'm sure there are some creative people among you guys so have at it!

Cheers,
Katie

PS...I kinda think of it as a 'he' rather than a 'she' but both male and female names will be accepted..

Since your car is parked in front of the Village Store right beside Summit Coffee and down the street from The Soda Shop - places ferquented by Davidson Wildcats - why don't you call your car fragwürdig (German for Wildcat - I believe) - that is if you are a Davidson College student or fan. Otherwise the word in German doesn't sound to cool.
