Here is a lady who is worth millions, some say she is the one that is responcible for Canada's diamond market and prehaps aided in the reduction of the deBeers strangle hold. She is also single. Her earrings are 10ct each.



- Ms. Eira Thomas, 37, is a respected Canadian geologist who brings extensive experience to her role as President and CEO of Stornoway. She served as a geologist with Aber Resources Ltd. (now Aber Diamond Corporation) from 1992 to 1997, leading the field exploration team that discovered the Diavik Diamond Project pipes in the Northwest Territories in 1994 and 1995. She was promoted to Vice-President Exploration for Aber in 1997, a post she held for two years. She remains a director of Aber Diamond Corporation which holds a 40 per cent interest in Diavik, Canada’s second diamond mine, which went into production in 2003 and produced 7.57 million carats in 2004. -

Nope, they actually disguard the industrial grade. These are the things that adorn a womens finger. Diavik unearthed a 350ct white and a 5ct pink (very very rare) last week.

I would imagine the rocks on her ears are flawless and very very expensive.

Yup. This gal is a bit of a celebrity here. She founded the company with her best girlfriend from her childhood days. Both have studied geology - but Thomas also did a business degree.

The are now worth a GREAT DEAL of money.

with leo's new movie "BLOOD DIAMONDS" giving debeers FITS! they will be able to sell every single one of those diamonds toot sweet to consumers who do want and DEMAND a paper trail on their diamond, at whatever cost they ask.

if all the single women in the world saw and understood what a blood diamond was and how it gets from africa to their home country, they would shut debeers down over night!

I don't think they are as rare as a ruby but diamonds are really tough to find and extract from the kimberlite.
