Vanity/custom plates for BMW 645i ??

I am looking into getting myself a (used) 645i BMW coupe, and will get custom numberplates for it if the deal is done. I'm limited to 7 characters/numbers. I was thinking of something subtle (yet obvious) like VIIVV.

Any other suggestions from the Pelican brain trust?

GOT MYN

Seriously, once my 911S leaves here, I've been thinking of a sports sedan or coupe of some type, for a daily driver. Keep us posted on how the car works out for you, okay? (edit) Have to admit, I'll never buy a vanity plate. I figure that the Government rips enough money from me, so I don't voluntarily give them a dime. I'd rather give the $ to the local privately run animal shelter.

I don't know about vanity plates. Every time I see one I think "what a dork".

Not sure why. Just something stupid about them.

A friend of mine in the UK spent a fortune to get one that said "volvo" for his Volvo. I mean how stupid is that? Why not just spray "volvo" on the thing in big letters?

And the ones that say "Hansum" or "Sexbom" are inevitably driven by some sad, fat git with a colostomy bag slung over his shoulder.

I don't get it.

They generally suck; unless you can come up w/ something great, they advertise one's lack of creativity or originality. It has always perplexed me when someone looks in the DMV vanity plate book and sees not only their idea already taken, but (almost) every misspelling of it taken as well yet still goes forward w/it. Their plate could just say, "IMALOSR".

The "so-and-so's 911/toy/Kia/etc.." are the best. Frikin' tossers.

Cool. Think I'll trade my "half past three" for a "quarter to eight"...

You are Richard Porter, and I claim my 5 pounds!

Back in the 70s, when my avatar was a recent pic, the Buick Electra 225 was called a "deuce and a quarter." My uncle calls my 325i my "trey and a quarter." My 15 year-old nephew refers to the BMW Z4 as my "b to the z."

Thanks guys, there are some good suggestions here.

I generally agree that most vanity plates are lame, that's why I want to get something very subtle.

So far, 15TO7 is the best, followed closely by 9 NI3W.

Keep 'em coming!!
