Police seized her computer and found dozens of photographs stored on the hard drive.

I would assume some of the pictures found on her computer were not of her, but were of other children.

Hopefully someone in that jurisdiction realized that there was a high probability that she was a victim of some sort of sexual abuse herself, and her behavior at that point was a confused adolescent response to earlier abuse.

It would be a shame if she was just treated like a juvenile offender and punished rather than being directed to receive the counseling she probably needed.
