What else can they ban?

Can't we just let Darwin rule? Do we have to succumb to legislating everything?

Beaverton, Oregon as well...or maybe Tigard?. Air soft guns, cops hate 'em...because other than the red tip they look real.

From themselves??

Notice the press makes no mention that he is a Democrat. Some one asked on another thread just what the difference is between liberals and conservatives; I think this highlights the difference nicely. Liberals have never seen a "nanny state" law to "protect the public" that they didn't like. I think a large part of that is the brighter ones (which ain't sayin' much) feel like they are protecting the dumber ones.

I'm against banning of words.

Jesse Jackson and (I think) Rev. Al Sharpton are trying to ban the N-word.

For better or worse, once a society starts banning in denial, uncomfortable aspects of itself, the overall culture will be affected.

Mother has always told me that I should be helping those less fortunate than myself. I told her, "But I do help them, I help them down the stairs all the time."

Banning should be banned.

Lets ban the internet. I'm sure it's diminished our collective IQ. Well, at least yours. ;)

Do you have stairs in your house?
...
We are here to protect you
Shoving is the answer
Humans must be shoved
They must go down the stairs
...
Please go stand by the stairs
So I can protect you

See the thread on the latest Chicago ban...

john70t 02-08-2007 05:54 AM

Just wait for the RFID chips to be put in everything, and society turns cash-less only. You'll come home and find you are now broke from violating obscure laws.
