Arkansas Pig Trail Run? Anyone??
cross posted from tech
I'm going to be in the Rogers/Fayetteville area next week. Anyone interested in a Pig Trail run? Right now it's snowing like crazy here, but it will supposedly melt very soon, so I might be willing to tip toe the 964 through the crud to have some fun. |

Man I wish I was not having to play next weekend or I'd be there! Be sure to run all the way to the Interstate...We'll hit it up next summer & November for PorschePalooza for sure!

That is one major cool road for sports cars.... the 914SIG ran it at the last Mid US Ramble.
If you are around, on April 7th, we are going to be running winding stair mountain from Talamena OK, to Mena AR. Anyone is welcome to come, You can get more info here.

Dang missed it, Can we do it again on the March 17 weekend. I am taking my daughter for her spring break and heading to the AR hills. Maybe meet in Eureka Springs? Arriving on the 14 in Hot Springs and will spend till Sunday tearing up the hills.

I'm keeping things kinda loose. There is a possibility that the 17th would work instaead if we generate a little more interest. I'm still up to my knees in snow, so I'm not sure I want to take the car out quite yet anyway.

Bob, you might want to give Leonard Zechiedrich (Palooza) a call, since he lives in Rogers. I'm sure he could put you in touch with some of the other locals up there. He & his wife visited with us at Thanksgiving (his Grandmother lives 1 mile from us)...You can get his email adr from the Palooza site, or I can give it to you.
(While in Rogers are you going to tour the Daisy BB gun factory? Cool little museum there!)

rouxroux-I got my first BB gun right from the factory after a tour back in the day. I grew up in Rogers.
I've met Leonard before. I will probably look him up as you suggest. |

I don't have a car but thanks for the invite. Hard for me to commit to an all day ride. Look me up if anyone's going through mountain Home.

Jim, that is one of my favorite spots. (Mountain Home) Last year while camping at Blanchard Springs I had a flat on the P car. Asked some locals at the cafe where a tire shop was. They directed me to a shop run by two guys in MH. I pull in with TX plates on a red Porsche expecting to get Deliveranced. The dudes looked me up and down, told me to wait a bit. I get set for wait I expect to be a long wait. Instead they pulled the car out of the garage that they were presently working on and proceed to pull the screw that was stuck in my tire. A plug and 15 minutes later we are all standing around shooting the breeze about the weather, cars, girls, whatever. Finally I ask the question that I've been dreading. "How much do you want for the repair/" The boss takes a long drag on his cigarette and replies. "That will be two dollars."
Holy shiite I nearly fell over from shock. I gave them a ten and thanked them for the excellent service and told them the beer was on me tonite. I may stop back in there just to say hello on this next trip. Nice part of the country.

Looks like I can't make the 17th. Work conflict. I'm going to head down tomorrow in the minivan.

A few years back we drove it in a 3/4 ton conversion van. Did not get much spped as we were behind 2 18 wheelers who were cutting their trailers WAY over the centerline!
