deuce and a half, and the women who say they are average.(rant)

If you go to these dating websites, read the various profiles and what not. You see one you kind of like. so you set up a date with this chick who has stated in her profile that she is "average" or even "thin" build. When you meet her the first thing you think is that this chick weighs a deuce, maybe even a deuce and a half.

Why do these people say they are average build? Do fat people know they are fat? seriously? If someone were to BS about 10 or 20 pounds I would likely never notice. BS'ing about 75 or a 100 pounds though?

I swore to myself that I would never again wake up on the high side of the bed. I intend to keep my word on that.

The scary part is: IF they are looking to date, this is the thinest they will ever be. Once they "catch the bus:, they don't have to chase it anymore!

5-6 years ago I met an "average" girl online, she flew up from Tampa.

Standing there in the airport, watching her get off the plane... 300lbs easy. **shudder**

My wife still laughs, calls her "fatty.com"

Funny now, but it sure wasn't back then.

It's funny you bring that up Jake, because 2 of my good friends date on-line a lot.

They explained the "code" of the personal ads and why virtually all women take pics while "lounging," instead of sitting or standing.

They've also been misled by numerous potential dates and have taken off before meeting them because they weren't "as advertised."

So I got to ask, did you meet her take off?

too funny

Another good one is the broad definition of 'petite'. Personally, 5'2 130lbs is not petite. I met one of those once.

I actually thought she had sent me pictures of her sister or something. However, upon snooping I found her driver's licence had a picture of her when she was significantly lighter.

No, we didn't "hit it off" although I was a decent guy and still did the planned trip together... until the car caught fire. Lovely time.

I never dated "online", but met her through what used to be a very funny site. It just kinda "happened".

Do tell.

It's snowing like hell (or Buffalo if you prefer--they're not all that different) outside. They just sent kids home from the local schools and I'm just about the only person left on my floor. I carpooled into work with my wife and she's in class until 3:00, so I'm stuck here with nothing to do and no means of leaving.

Ditto. On balance looking over my shoulder at them, they're happy memories. I didn't have any fatty issues...quite the opposite...but man, people can sure make up whatever persona they want when they're online.

Both women and men lie online but women are just better at it and appearantly think they are entitled to do it.
