She'll be around for years. It seems the less I can stand news people, the longer they last. Dan Rather shouldn't have been doing reporting either--look how long he lasted.

Yep. As long as they look good, and read the proper liberal views well, they can last a long time. (edit) Actually it isn't "Perky" herself...it's just that even the dimmest audience members are catching on that "network news" is faintly disguised propaganda, so they tune out. I dunno about the rest of you, but a "Simpsons" rerun is more intellectually stimulating to me than anything that comes out of "Perky's" mouth...

Katie doesn't have to worry--she has a long term guaranteed contract. She could try bleaching her hair a bit more--blonde seems to be where it's at for female news anchors.

I've seen her in person. Hot she's not. In fact it's almost hard to recognize her.

She was on the same flight as I about three years ago from St. Thomas to Miami (and yes we were sitting up front). She actually looks tired and mean in person.

It 's crazy, but in this country, network execs believe we actually cares who reads the news. In the UK they call them what they are - "News Readers".

Rather have her back on Today instead of Merdith Viera. She's awful.
