Anyone local want to sell a 17" CRT monitor?

I need to look at some things in the old computers and erase the HD's. I don't think the video cards in them will support my new flat screen. Maybe, but I'd rather not have to go back and forth. The last of my monitors died. Will pay a fair price. TIA.

PS, please email me thru my profile (2 clicks) or window_man at verizon dot com

I'm over here in 90807.

Milt, I have one or two that you can have. the catch they are in Orange and i don't deliver. If you want one or both, lemme know and I'll get them out.

PC Shop here at work (run by students) has Dell 17" black CRTs for $25. Shipping would probably double that. Maybe just get a $30 KVM switch?

Guys, I've had several very generous offers. Thanks so much. I kinda figured there'd be a couple surplus ones.

Sam, I'll come out on Sat if you're home and fetch one them suckers. I might even drive the poor freeway damaged Carrera Ragamuffin II

BTW, what's a KVM switch? Switch for multiple towers into one screen? I'll need the separate monitor if I decide to use the transfer ultility.

KVM = keyboard, video, mouse. One of each, multiple towers. push a button (or keyboard key combo like ctrl+escape) and it switches what tower you are controlling. If you ever have to work on 2 computers at once, it will be hte best $30 you spend.

I've got one you're welcome to also. It's an excuse for me to go out and get a flat panel I've been looking at for some time anyway - and I'd rather my current monitor (Panasonic S17) go serve someone else well rather than getting tossed in the trash.

Let me know if you're interested.

Shame - I gave away a 17 and 19 in December - But I'm far away anyway.

I'd be surprised to find a flat panel that does not have an analog input though.
