Question for the Vegas guys.
Can one of you please tell me the name of the place that rents full auto weapons near town?
I'll be in town Saturday through Monday and during that time I'll have at least one afternoon to do what I want. ;) Any other suggestion on fun things to do are welcome. We've been to Vegas once before so we're looking for things to do besides hitting the strip. Speaking of strip........;) Where is the place these days? |
I'd bet they are trying to get all of the rentals back after NBA All Star weekend.

Aren't full auto weapons illegal to own unless you're a gun collector?
|
TerryH - nope. Federally, you pay a tax ($200 for FA, $5 for other things llike short barrel rifle or short barrel shotgun, suppressor/silencer, or AOW - any other weapon), fingerprints, passport photo, and local sherrif sign off. Sherrif can be bypassed by formign a LLC or trust to "own" the gun. Then long background check, visit by ATF (or not), and you get your full auto toy.
Some states don't allow everyhing - some may not allow full auto but SBR/SBS/AOW/Silencer is OK, some you can have full auto but not a silencer or short barrel shotgun, etc. Full auto guns that are transferrable to civilians are expensive tho - no more allowed for civ. market since '86. |
The Gun Store--it is on south tropicana. There is another, but that is the one which I rented from. Look in the magazines for a 5-dollar off coupon for full-auto rentals--not much, but it will cover your target costs.
If taking a taxi--you will have to wait awhile for one for the return trip to the strip--unless you luck out and jump in a cab as one is dropping off new customers--or there is a bus stop right in front of the store which runs to the MGM--a 1.25--much better deal. The process is simple--walk in, sign waiver, choose from guns mounted on board--prices are listed with each--choose targets, pay, grab ears and eyes and follow range master into range area. I went with a SAW, Thompson, and a Grease gun--it can get pricey fairly quick, but IMHO was well worth it. Another suggestion is the Imperial Palace car collection--on the 5th floor of the palace--free if you find a coupon guy or are a member of AAA--they have some great vehicles. |
There is a guy out in Pahrump that rents Auto guns...Try American Shooters Supply...I think he rents...he is just off Spring Mountain and Areville?
In NV one can own ANYTHING |
Have fun and remember that its the sound of freedom...

Drage, both the Gun Store and American Shoothers are the two 'popular' places, open on Sunday until 5 PM.
Let me know the time and the place I may join you. |
hit the Ferrari dealership in the Wynn
but watch out for the rapper/police rivalry and there is another car showroom in new mall at Caesar's, but their is a charge to go on the showroom floor now. going with Julie? she will love the new mall there at Caesar's. but your wallet wont;) Olympic Gardens is good too. if Julie is there make sure you send her upstairs while you enjoy the show below:D |
Thanks for all the replies. Anything going on out at track?
|
Drago, this weekend at the Spring Mountain Race Track is some bike event (Star Motorcycle School) and the usual dragsters-wannabes at the Las Vegas Motorspeedway, the week of 3/10 is NASCAR weekend. No Porsche races until the St Patricks weekend

Hey Tabs, can I come over and play with your guns and spoons?
How about a tour of the best buffets Vegas has to offer? Jordi, thanks! I'll give you a call when we're in town. |
