Now you'll need to buy a disguise in case you're ever forced to drive it.

Wayne, I've owned (or really my wife has owned;) ) a 2005 Odyssey. It was a EX-L with Navigation and DVD. I think they all come packaged with this if you want either. I absolutely wanted to avoid the Touring for the run flat reasons. I switch to winter tires and also tend to go through them much quicker then others, so the run flats just seemed a needless expense. I've had no real complaints about the car other then the door has developed an irritating rattle. Driving the car is effortless and perfect for 12 hour rides to vacations with our family of 6. With laptops, Gameboy DS's, Ipods, and hand held movie players, the DVD isn't such a big deal. My wife uses the navigation often though. My kids actually hooked up the GameCube and used that. The ingress/egress of the occupants with both sliding doors is fantastic. The car repeatedly get fantastic write ups and they are correct in what I've seen so far. I'd enclose a picture of it, but I never really saw a reason to take a picture of it when it was clean.:(

Yeah, right. Its a Honda. There cannot possibly be 101 things to fix on a whole fleet of them :)

Bright side:

Minivan's are wonderful for hauling parts. Just remove a bench and throw a 4x8 sheet of plywood in the back and you have a 5 seat 28mpg covered engine hauler. Remove the second bench, and you can fit two motors. Im not kidding. An engine hoist will boom straight into the back of one of these.

Hondas are great. We were gonna get the minivan but went with the Pilot instead. Great cars. You'll be devoted to Hondas now for ever.

Ah, you beat me to it.

Shuie, think of the weight distribution advantage!!

Just last night, we fit 9 people in an Odyssey for a trip to the bar. Big cars mean fewer designated drivers. :D

Just don't get stopped with 9 inside, the car only has belts for 8.;)

Put some composite plastic water valve covers under the rear wheels, stuff the praking brake firmly on, and ride on. Fishtail heaven!

Bummer when it wears to the treads. RIP rental Toyota Sienna.

I believe it has belts for 7. I didn't check. I sat between the second-row captains chairs. It's a snug fit, but not uncomfortable.

Oddly enough, my wife was just in the market for a new car. She absolutely needed something that would also haul one kid around. She went with a MINI Cooper.

See. That kind of attitude is exactly why I don't own a pickup anymore. Its great for someone else to own a vehicle like that :)

FWIW, you can get ~12 people in a Honda Element if the rear seats have been removed. And if you're pretty good friends with the other 11 people.

no pepperwagon for Wayne.

Let 'em laugh, Wayne. I predict the day won't be far in your future when something will come up...something needing hauling, a parking lot you won't want to leave your P-car in...something. Then you'll say: "Hey Honey, do you mind if I take the minivan today?" Say this without shame, Wayne....it's a mark of maturation, a sign that the folly of youth is leaving and that some practicality in life is entering...

The guys giving you a hard time? It's a good natured hard time. But I'll bet they have all had a time they wished they were in a more utilitarian vehicle than a 911.

:)

+2 on that . I've had 4 now. Don't know how I got along without one now. The first thing I do is take out the third row seat. Don't put it back in til I trade em in. The rest of the thing is crap, but that third seat is always pristine.

Wayne how is it living with the Odyssey? I am trying to get my wife into one. You can get new 2007 Touring for about .
