Bravada Smartrack AWD

I have and Envoy and my buddy has a Bravada. They are basically the same truck but the Bravada is full time AWD (Smarttrack) and the the Envoy can select 2wd, AWD or 4wd.

The AWD in each is not instant or real-time as it waits for slippage before engaging the front wheels. It doesn't take but an instant, but it's not as nice in foul weather as knowing you're in 4wd.

So, is there a way to engage the Bravada in actual 4wd? I imagine a simple electronic override is possible but may not exist.

Thanks

I don't believe there is a way to do override the Smarttrack function. Probably for good reason.

"Well, Mr. Dealer, I wanted to go fourwheelin' with my buddies in the swamp so I rewired the Smartrack system and now it doesn't do anything. Is that gonna be covered under warranty?"

I can select actual 4wd in my Envoy, what's the difference?
