Any graphic designers out there? Request.

Hey, I am looking at getting a tattoo and I was wondering if there were any graphic designers that could submit a good design for me. Im looking for an edgy but realistic silhouette of a leafless tree that would look good free standing (not rooted in the ground). Any ideas?

Something similar to these:

You could a landscape company or a pub to sponsor you and get it done for next to nothing.:D

Gimme a day or two and I'll draw one for you. This is a subject that was a focus in my work for about two years, but I'm pretty busy ATm. Do you want a black background? If not I'll do the design on white. Let me know. Send me your email ADD and I'll email the design to you.

The black background is just for example, I really appreciate it.

My email is porscheguy79@yahoo.com

Make sure it's where your future clients cannot see. Tat's aren't everybody's taste.

Should I see about getting the Porsche crest removed from my neck?

Jim Richards 02-26-2007 12:30 PM

Yes, and where you're at it, a lobatomy might be pretty cool.

Make sure you check out the artist first. Check his ability by looking at his work, preferably from someone you know that has a tattoo from him. Also look at the cleanliness of the shop. Look to see how they clean the tattoo equipment not just an autoclave (the equipment for sterilizing the equipment). As what precautions and procedures the shop has for preventing the spread of blood born pathogens.

Laser tattoo removal does not remove the tattoo. It just fades it. Also, it is very very painful, or so I've heard.

Jim,
You would be surprised at the number of people with tattoos. I also agree on the placement of tattoos. Most people, even people like me with several, agree neck, face, and hand tattoos are taboo.

Jims5543 02-26-2007 01:12 PM

I hate tattoos. Everyone has them now too you are right all the sheeple are getting them because it is instant cool.

I think it looks trashy and I am shaking my head in disbelief as I see my mother in law (60 years old) and HER mother (80 years old) getting tattos on their arms etc..

Remember when the word "bling" was reserved for rap artists only then every soccer mom in america was saying it and it instantly jumped the shark? Yeah, Tattos are airborn and approaching the shark.

I would never put somethign permenant on my body anywhere. I think back to when I was 20 until not at 40 and shudder at some of the things I thought was cool back then and thank god I never decided to make it "art" on me somewhere.

Basquiat 02-26-2007 03:46 PM

Based on the drawing I'm going to give him, the artist should have zero problem "drawing" the design on his body. Trees are awfully free form. Ofcourse all the other cleanliness stuff etc. needs to be taken VERY seriously.

If it were me, I'd do a classic.

How about DaVinci's tree sketch? It will always be more than just a tree.

The Celtic Tree of Life is cool, but I'd stick with DaVinci.

I think we need a Gruppe B intervention for the Young Jedi. :)

Jims5543 02-27-2007 07:13 AM

I am kind of digging this.
