A message from Mark Minkoff

My Response: Thanks for the message. Your insistence that you were willing to forget the past is not accurate. You have continued to pursue a path of criticism of me right up to the time you submitted your request. Even after your purchase from JB racing I offered a simple bit of advise to help you and your response was to call me an *ss Hole. Deeds speak louder than words. It is my hope that you are happy with your purchases and that your racing is going well. I can only say that in life's journey there are many more important things than money. As you grow and experience life I can only hope that you will recognize this simple fact. Best wishes. Henry |
And your point is?
Everyone please note: If you are looking at this and wondering why Henry would post something like this (I am wondering why also...very classy Henry) There has been some history between Mark Minkoff and Henry that involved court, etc... It was over a motor that Henry built. But hey, it's a free country right? |
I read this post and had no problem understanding the point.
In an earlier post Mark taunted Henry for refusing to do business with him. Now Mark contacted Henry in an attempt to taunt him with some sort of lost revenue. Very childish of Mark, and I assume Henry was letting everyone know what he has to deal with. Would any of you want to deal with this type of childish behavior? BTW: I haven't found anyone in the Porsche business with more class than Henry. Obviously Chad you have never met him. |
This really does not belong here. So you and Mark don't get along (for whatever reason) BIG DEAL!
This really is a matter to keep between the two of you...... Cheers |
Hey Jeff, why do you care? There are a thousand other threads to participate in.
If you don't like the content of a post, you're free to skip it. Personally I haven't gained much from this post but everyone has a right to say what's on their mind. Venting without malice harms no one. The world doesn't need more thought police. Cheers |
Why do you care?
I was just not sure what this had to do with the autocross and racing, which is the title of this forum.................... Personally I don't care, hence my "big deal" comment in regards to their disagreement.(ongoing?). I agree that I could just skip it, you are right. But it pains me when someone makes a public attack on someone that really has nothing to do with the rest of us, that's all. No big deal, if folks want to air their public disagreements with each other and carry on down the character assasination path, I will steer clear in the future. Is the thought police comment directed at my post or yours? :) Cheers |

Perhaps you guys are right.
Why this forum, Mark's contact in the Porsche community is mainly on this and other racing forum and venues. The Porsche community is very small and Mark has insisted on trying to damage my ability to make a living in that community. People tell me regularly that he tells them half truths and out right lies about his experience with me. He does this in public not in private. Mark initiated this round of contact and I felt the Porsche community should see the man behind the stories. This post says more about me but I guess I'm just frustrated. |
Posting a PM on a public board is not cool, I don't care what your reason is. Keep it between yourselves...

My opinion and the way I live is: Never whisper in the dark what you are afraid to say in the light. Someone may have a flashlight. I generally admire people that are willing to shine light on an uncomfortable situation. |
And what situation is that exactly?? No one but the principals really have the correct detail as to what happened, and even their take is not the same. Its easy to take a snippet of information , which is not even close to the whole story, and it is easily portrayed out of context. Hence it serves no purpose to post some portion of a PM here or anywhere. Don't air your dirty laundry here, its an AX racing forum, take it off topic if you want to vent.

Are you going to the CA Speedway this coming weekend? Big VARA event! Historic Indy Cars, Pacific 2000 pro racing, Formula TR, all the regular VARA groups and Al Unser hanging out all weekend! The whole gang will be there, "Plavans", "Scotts" ect. Come on over! Have a Margarita, My wife and Kathy Scott are making carne Asada and Carnitas on Saturday and Hot Links and Burgers on Sunday, and all the "fixings". I am sure we can iron out our differences over some great company, food, drinks and last but not least, just being at the track. Look forward to seeing you. |
Hi Mark
It would be my pleasure to put this long time issue to rest. As I see it, there is more than lip service required but I'm as always ready to move on. I'm not certain what the weekend has in shore for me but I will do my best to accept you gracious invitation. Cheers |
and on that note, I close this thread. Good to see you guys work this out in person instead of here.
